Mounting details and instructions
- All piping must be routed so that it is protected against
mechanical damage.
- All piping must be installed tension free.
- All piping must be clean before installation.
- Bends : radius 2 - 3 x nominal diameter, unless specified
otherwise.
- Elbows and other fittings, according to damen standard:
(elbows are only permitted after written consent from
damen shipyards)
- Do not place flanges and/or couplings behind or above walls,
ceilings or electric boxes.
- For transport purposes : all open ends of pipes must be
blinded off, where possible, with blind flanges otherwise
with plugs.
- Piping connected to equipment must be fitted with flanges
nearby to enable easy dismounting of equipment.
- Pipe sections in engine room to be easily removable and of
manageable lengths.
- Pipes not to be fitted underneath hatches, unless the pipes
are easily removable.
- For hull branches, pipe with 3.2 certificate to be used.
- All econosto valves drilled according to din 2501-pn10.
- Pipes marked with (h) are to be hot dip zinc coated acc. to
iso 1461 & en 10240, but pipes passing through fuel oil tanks,
are only to be hot dip zinc coated internally.
- 1/2" drain plugs must be installed at lowest points of all
lines.
- 1/2" measure plugs must be installed at places where
necessary.
- Internal fifi lines routed above accommodation ceilings are
to be insulated.
