Lily Sugar n Cream medium

(worsted) weight cotton yarn
(21/2 oz/110 yds/70.9g
per ball):
1 ball #028 delft blue
Size G/6/4mm crochet
hook or size needed to
obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
GAUGE

4 sts = 1 inch

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as

work progresses.
Join rounds with a slip stitch
unless otherwise stated.
A ball of yarn will make both
Hot Hats.
LARGE HAT

Rnd 1: Ch 6, sl st to join in first

ch to form a ring, ch 2 (do not count
as first st throughout), 12 dc in ring,
join in first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each dc
around, join in beg sc. (24 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, working in back lp
of each st, sc around, join in beg sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 2, hdc in each sc
around, join in beg hdc.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around,
join in beg sc.
Rnd 6: Ch 2, 2 dc in each sc
around, join in top of first dc. (48 dc)
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in same dc as
beg ch-1, ch 3, [sc in next dc, ch 3]

around, join in beg sc, fasten off.

Cut a 15-inch length of yarn,
weave through sc sts of rnd 5, tie
ends in a bow and trim ends.
