Guargaon Biodiversity Park is spread across more 400 acres of land. Earlier this site was used for
illegal mining and rock crushing but now these mining pits turned into water bodies .A shallow
depression is fast turning into a small grassland and has began attractive a large variety of words .More
than 200 species of trees, shrubs, herbs, have been gather here, all native to Arravali .Two nurseries
have been setup and are producing thousand of sapling trees that belong to natural habitat. More than
32000 saplings were planted by the corporate entities and school childrens. Very soon at least one part
of Arravali will return to a state which was just about 100 years ago.
All of this is the determinations of
a handful young people who took it upon themselves to do something about improving the standard of
cleanliness and hygiene in their neighbourhood and soon it embrace all of the Guargaon. All corporate
houses, schools and Guargaon Corporation are supporting this initiative in diverse ways and became
successful to bring a huge change in Guargaon.
