Culinary concept and place:
Muse Bistro was born out of Mirela Ivascu's passion for the culinary art
and healthy food, cooked with love, from natural and ecological
ingredients. In 2012, Mirela went to France, where she studied at the
academy of culinary arts, "Gastronomicom", in Cap D'Agde, and
afterwards, she spent 4 months working at a 4* restaurant hotel , near Lyon, where she has
concreted her internship. She came back to Romania to fulfill her dream ~ establishing a
friendly location, where she can prepare tasty and healthy food at an affordable price, for
everybody. A place where her guests can be spoiled by the gastronomical innovations, born
from her experience in playing with the taste, texture and color of the ingredients. Thus,
Muse Bistro came to life, in the summer of 2013 ~ the place where, the delicious taste of
healthy food, turned from dream to reality.
Muse is a place for friendship and socialization, where, among pendulums and mirrors, or in
the Summer Garden, you can spend quiet and relaxing moments, in a joyful atmosphere. At
Muse you will always find quality LIVE music, Thursday's AstroBar, with no joking around
like in the daily horoscope. You will also find society game evenings, funny theatrical
improvisation nights, delicious meals, while clinking glasses filled with good wine or
traditional Romanian home-made refreshments.
Responsibilities:
Creating a brand, a concept and a visual identity for the bistro.
Researching consumer markets, monitoring market trends and identifying potential areas
of focus
Generating names for new and existing products and services, coming up with ideas for
new packaging designs, including shape, size, colors, fonts and imagery
Creating and executing the graphic design, concept and and layouts for the menus,
presentation materials, event posters, covers and getting them ready for print.
Creating and executing the design and concept for the marketing materials, until the
printing phase: fidelity cards, Feedback Forms, flyers for events and campaigns

Bucharest has 250 rooms, 5 conference rooms of different capacities, a restaurant of the
type "bistro" and a 24h bar. The management is a typical French economic one, based on
the smallest number of employees (80-100people) with a great rate of exploitation for profit
sake.
Responsibilities:
As a shift leader, my basic responsibilities were to assure the discipline and obey the hotel's
internal policy and rules, together with the other receptionists. I had to, constantly,
supervise and correct (if necessary) the other's activity. In the same time, I had to maintain
a pleasant and calm atmosphere in my department which was very important in our team
work.

I had to assure an accurate and concrete communication between the Front Office
Department and also the other departments, as well as with the superiors, in order to
obtain the highest quality of services that our standard provides for the customers.
During the night shifts: I checked and corrected (if necessary) the entire activity of my
colleagues during the day shifts, count and register the hotel cashiers. I checked and
counted all the money charged in the current day and released legal documents for them. I
stored and printed the daily reports and present them to the afferent departments; in one
word, I executed the Night Audit Hotel Cashier procedures.
I evaluated and calculated the commissions stipulated in the contracts with several
agencies.
