organization), Rojos del Aguila de Veracruz (Mexican League) and AAA Indianapolis
(Pittsburgh organization).

CAREER: Originally signed by Cleveland as a non-drafted free agent on Jan. 25, 2002
appeared in 338 career Major League games (all in relief) with the Indians from 2006-2012
(21-12, 3.64 ERA, 3 SV)has not pitched in the Majors since 2012 with the Indians
made 268 relief appearances over 4-season stretch from 2008-2011 tied for the most
amongst AL relievers during that span (with Craig Breslow).
2002: Made pro debut with the Indians-2 in the Dominican Summer Leagueranked 2nd in
the DSL with a 0.96 ERA (8 ER, 75.1 IP) while going 7-1 in 13 starts.
2003: Named Appalachian League Pitcher of the Year at Burlington, leading the league in
wins (9-3) and ERA (1.70) while finishing 2nd in innings (69.0) and 5th in strikeouts (93).
2004: Spent the year at A Lake Countywon 6 straight decisions from June 11-Aug. 6, and
won 7 of his last 8 decisions on the year.
2005: Split the season between A Kinston and AA Akron as his career-high 12 wins were
T3rd in the Indians organizationpromoted to Akron on June 27at the time of the
promotion 8 wins were T1st in the Carolina League.
2006: Converted reliever made the rise to the big leagues all the way from AA Akron,
spending 3 stints with the Indians: April 20, June 9-July 17, and Sept. 5-end of season
began the year in the Akron rotationmade ML debut April 20 at BAL (1.0 IP, 2 SO).
2007: Had 2 stints with Tribe, including a call-up for good on May 28posted career lows
with a 1.78 ERA and 0.923 WHIP, also career-best 4.13 SO/BB ratioranked among AL
relief leaders in ERA (3rd) and opponents avg. (6th, .187)allowed just 6 of 37 (16.2%)
inherited runners to score, 6th-best in the league, and his first batter average of .049 (241) was lowest in the league (retired 40 of 44 first batters)recorded first ML win Aug. 23

6 appearances in the playoffs with the Indians falling a game short of the World Series.
2008: Set career highs in appearances (73), innings (76.1), strikeouts (86) and games finished
(14)ranked T6th in AL in both appearances and relief innings, was 3rd in relief strikeouts
and T3rd with team-high 25 holdsrecorded 10.1 K/9.0 IP.
2009: Had three separate stints with the Indians combining for 54 relief appearances
tossed 3.0 scoreless innings for Dominican Republic in World Baseball Classic,.
2010: Recorded a 1.97 ERA (10 ER, 46.0 IP) over his last 51 games beginning June 155 of
his 70 appearances were scorelessT10th in the AL in appearances (70).
2011: Finished T2nd in the AL in appearances (71) and T10th in relief wins (5)allowed
15.9% (7 of 44) of inherited runners to score.
2012: Limited to 8 relief appearances with the Indiansshut down for the season in
September and underwent an arthroscopic debridement of his left shoulder on Sept. 26
at the Morgan Kalman Clinic in Wilmington, DE, surgery performed by Dr. Craig Morgan

2013: Split the season between the Minnesota and Boston organizationswent 3-2, 2.60
ERA with 6 saves in 29 appearances with AA Portland and AAA Rochestersigned
with Boston as a minor league free agent on May 21 and spent duration of season in
the Eastern Leaguepitched for Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican Winter League,
posting 1.69 ERA in the regular season (21 G) and 2.31 ERA in the playoffs (9 G).
POSTSEASON EXPERIENCE: Appeared in 6 games in the 2007 postseason with the
