Keywords :Education value, novel, implication of learning.
Education value is not only gotten on manner subject, but also can be
obtained through literature learning especially novel. Novel than as an
entertainment, it can also be used as a source of knowledge which can give
inspiration to the readers. The problems which will be discussed are (1) How is
education value which contained on novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda by Agnes
Davonar? (2) How does implication of the research result on literature learning in
grade XII of Senior High School?. The obejectives of this research are (1)
Describes the education value which contained on novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku
Berbeda by Agnes Davonar, (2) Describes implication of research result on
literature learning in grade XII of Senior High School.
The type of this research is library research. This research uses
objective approach. The research data is the sentence or paragraph fragments
which contained of education value on novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? By
Agnes Davonar. It uses read and write technique in the data collecting technique.
Data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative technique.
The results of this research are (1) Education value which contained on
novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? by Agnes Davonar are (a) Religious
education value such as, faith to the greatness of God, thank to the God,
submissive, and pray; (b) Moral education value such as, good moral; for
instance: dutiful to parents, hard work, strong, optimist, honest, independence,
affection, willingly, creative, curiosity, and never give up; and bad moral such as
grumpy, hater, persecutor, demeaning others, slander/snare, rude, and selfish; (c)
Social education values such as, helping others, share to the others, and social
service; (d) Cultural education values such as, introduce the funeral cremation
tradition as practiced by the character of the novel; (2) The implication of
literature learning in Senior High School such as, Novel learning materials,
intrinsic elements of novel (plot, characterization, setting, and theme), extrinsic
elements of novel (religious, moral, social and cultural education values). LCD/
projector is used to play film as learning media in novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku
Berbeda? by Agnes Davonar. Contextual approach is used in this research such as,
constructivism aspects, search and discovery (inquiry), questioning, learning
community, modelling, reflection, and authentic assessment. Discourse,
discussion, and role play are used as learning methods in this research.

Based on these results, it is suggested in this research are 1) the students


are expected be able to improve their knowledge about education value in
literature especially on novel Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda? by Agnes Davonar, 2)
It is expected be able to next researchers as reference with different object study,
3) It is expected be able to give motivation and inspiration especially for the
literary novel work readers, because it contained education values which can be
immitated.
