Description of the Manual

This is the user manual for the Nuclear Concrete Quantities application. This application is
valid for civil engineering concrete design work.
Therefore, the user will be able to view the following results:

Calculation of the volume of civil engineering concrete objects.

Calculation of formwork surface areas for civil engineering concrete objects.

Calculation of slab usable surface areas.

The user will be able to view results in a variety of ways and also save them to a text file.

Material Limitations
By running the Nuclear Concrete Quantities application, you automatically load the list of
materials used for the current project and it is displayed in the main interface list:

The limitation defined will apply to the concrete take off as a function of the MATREF
attribute content. To run this option, you need to select a material from the Material list.
Note: All is the default value that provides no limitations with regard to material when
concrete take off is calculated.

2.3

Limitations Applicable to Object Types

As a rule, you have a choice of six types of concrete civil engineering objects:

Validation
When the preceding steps have been properly completed, you can validate your simulation
by just click

. This will begin the calculation and will show the Progress Bar.

The calculation process can be interrupted at any time by click

2.5

Execution Messages
While the calculation is being carried out, the application automatically manages the
procedure and displays all intermediate messages (if there are any) at the end in the
Execution messages and error display window:

Note: The messages displayed in the above window are also displayed on the Results
form and will also be saved at the end of the savework file.

2.6
