DRINKING WATER FROM AIR

At the edge of Atacama

Desert, one of the driest places on
the earth, Lima, Peru receives
almost no rainfall. But Limas
Pacific coast location experiences
humidity of more than 90% on
summer days. So engineers from
Perus produced 9450 liters(about
2500 gallons) of water from the
air. The principle is that, when air contacts with the cooled surface the humidity of
the air will be converted into water and this can be purified by reverse osmosis
process. This system is very much useful in desert areas.
AQUA SILENCER
This project is an attempt to reduce the
toxic content of Diesel exhaust. This system
can be safely used for Diesel power packs
which could be used in inflammable
atmospheres such as refiners, chemical
processing industries, open cost mines etc,.
The working principle is that the
high temperature high pollutant exhaust
gas is allowed to passed through the belt and the bell, this allows to expand
the gas to expand considerably and this allows the gas to cool. After the
expansion the emission comes in contact with oil (which could otherwise
being any alkaline solution) where the obnoxious products of combustion
are scrubbed when bubbled through it. After the bubbling it comes in
contact with the bubbles. The baffles are of invaluable help to reduce the
carry over of oil particles which are converted into steam. The filter is used
to reduce the carbon content in the exhaust gas.

The advantage of the system is that efficiency of the vehicle is increased,

fuel consumption is less, less pollution and the limitations are additional cost is
required, additional space is required.

PELTIER HEAT PUMP

This follows the principle
of Peltier effect. That is, when a
potential difference applied
between two thermoelectric
materials connected together
there will be heat conduction
from one side to another side.
Using this effect we can cool a
particular area similar to a
refrigerator or AC. It has this
name because of it pumps the
heat.

This has wide range of applications those are digital cameras, food
processing units etc., It will not affect the environment which is the main
advantage compared to the conventional one and this cant used for larger space
which is the main disadvantage compared to the conventional one.

WATER JET CUTTING

Water jet cutting is a
advanced machining process in
which the water is a cutting tool.
Water with abrasion material will
come out of a nozzle is called as
jet. By using this jet cutting
operations can be done.
Since the cutting tool is water there
will not be need of a separate coolant.

CICADA (PRIME NUMBERS 13,17)

CICADAS are a brilliant natural lesson in prime numbers. Millions of
cicadas simultaneously tunnel out of the soil at indivisible intervals of 13 and 17
years. The more typical 2 ,3,4,5,....year life cycle of birds doesn't match well with
the atypical lifestyle of these CICADAS.
A periodical cicada lives underground for either 13 or 17 years straight.
After exactly 13 or 17 years, the cicada knows when to dig a tunnel to the soil
surface and join literally millions and millions of other cicadas that also somehow
knew that all the other bugs finally were poking their heads.

DORSTE EFFECT:
The Droste effect known as mise en abyme in art
is the effect of a picture appearing within itself, in
a place where a similar picture would realistically be
expected to appear. The appearance is recursive: the
smaller version contains an even smaller version of
the picture, and so on. Only in theory could this go on
forever; practically, it continues only as long as the
resolution of the picture allows, which is relatively
short, since each iteration geometrically reduces the

BEZOLDEFFECT
The Bezold effect is an optical illusion, named
after a German professor of meteorology, Wilhelm
von Bezold (18371907), who discovered that a
color may appear different depending on its
relation to adjacent colors.

When the cohesive force of the liquid
is stronger than the adhesive force of the

in order to reduce contact with the surface of
the wall. When the adhesive force of the
liquid to the wall is stronger than the
cohesive force of the liquid, the liquid is
more attracted to the wall than its neighbors,
causing the upward concavity.

Metamaterials

ENTANGLEMENT THEORY

Entanglement is a
term used in quantum theory
to describe the way that
particles of energy/matter
can become correlated to
predictably interact with
each other regardless of how
far apart they are.

Particles, such as photons, electrons, or qubits that have interacted with

each other retain a type of connection and can be entangled with each other in
pairs, in the process known as correlation. Knowing the spin state of one entangled
particle - whether the direction of the spin is up or down - allows one to know that
the spin of its mate is in the opposite direction. Even more amazing is the
knowledge that, due to the phenomenon of superposition, the measured particle
has no single spin direction before being measured, but is simultaneously in both a
spin-up and spin-down state. The spin state of the particle being measured is
decided at the time of measurement and communicated to the correlated particle,
which simultaneously assumes the opposite spin direction to that of the measured
particle. Quantum entanglement allows qubits that are separated by incredible
distances to interact with each other immediately, in a communication that is not
limited to the speed of light. No matter how great the distance between the
