Company BERKO was established for production of

The companys core activity is the production of starter batteries
for cars and trucks, production of industrial batteries: traction and
stationary ones, and the production of shotgun lead pellets for hunting
ammunition.

The production is focused on lead-acid batteries and is divided
into a branch dealing with the production of starter batteries and
another one producing industrial batteries. Currently, starter batteries,
notably brands including Black horse, Asian horse i White horse, hold a
dominant position from the point of view of business operations,
capacity and production.

As for the industrial programme, the factory focuses on the
production of traction batteries and is intensively engaged in the
adoption of the technology for the production of semi-traction and
stationary batteries.

In the period 20062008 the factory adopted the latest world
technology in battery production, namely the calcium-calcium
technology, thanks to new investment and intensive technological
development. This way, the factory joined the ranks of those producing
the latest generation of starter batteries. Around the end of 2009,
Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor launched a brand new programme the
production of lead shotgun pellets. The programme started with new
equipment and implies the production of lead pellets for sporting and
hunting ammunition. It involves state-of-the-art equipment and the
resulting products meet the standards of all major markets. The capacity
greatly exceeds domestic needs therefore the companys major buyers
are from Italy, Spain and France. Fabrika Akumulatora Sombor is a

The mission of Regional Agency for Development of
Small and Medium sized enterprises ALMA MONS is to create
conditions, opportunities and benefits for involving SMEs and
other vulnerable social groups in the region into formal
economic trends. It will improve sustainable economic
development in the Region through integrated development
of local resources and opportunities and through concentrated
efforts of local people.

Center for Competitiveness and Cluster Development is the
result of cooperation between the University of Novi Sad and
Provincial Secretariat for Economy of AP Vojvodina on projects to

Faculty of Technical Sciences originates from the Faculty
of Mechanical Engineering which was established by the Decree
of the National Assembly of Peoples Republic of Serbia on 18th
May 1960 as a Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Novi Sad
and it was a constituent part of the University of Belgrade. After
the founding of the University of Novi Sad on 28th June 1960,
the Faculty along with six previously established faculties in
Vojvodina was regarded as a part of the University of Novi Sad.

FEFA - Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration
was founded in December 2001, in Belgrade, to provide high
quality studies as an attractive alternative for young generations
in Serbia, so that they stay in the country and acquire quality
university education. FEFA also attracts professionals to its
graduate studies, with a multidisciplinary and practical
approach to learning. FEFA studies are in conformity with the
European standards and the principles of the Bologna

Regional Chamber of Commerce Novi Sad includes
the area of Novi Sad and 11 municipalities in the South Backa
District (Ba, Baka Palanka, Baki Petrovac, Beej, Beoin,

Regional Chamber of Commerce Pancevo is an

The Chamber performs activities of common interest to
