OMEPRAZOLE
Omeprazole (Prilosec, Zegerid) belongs to group of drugs called proton pump inhibitors. It
decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Omeprazole is used to treat symptoms
of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions caused by excess stomach
acid. It is not for immediate relief of heartburn symptoms. Omeprazole is also used to promote
healing of erosive esophagitis (damage to your esophagus caused by stomach acid).
Omeprazole may also be given together with antibiotics to treat gastric ulcer caused by infection
with helicobacter pylori (H. pylori).
S.E.:
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to
omeprazole: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
low magnesium (dizziness, confusion, fast or uneven heart rate, jerking muscle
movements, jittery feeling, muscle cramps, muscle weakness or limp feeling, cough or
choking feeling, seizure).
fever;
cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat;
stomach pain, gas;
nausea, vomiting, mild diarrhea; or
headache.
TRAMADOL
Actions
Centrally acting opiate receptor agonist that inhibits the uptake of norepinephrine and
serotonin, suggesting both opioid and nonopioid mechanisms of pain relief. May produce
opioid-like effects, but causes less respiratory depression than morphine.
Therapeutic Effects
Adverse Effects
Mupirocin is an antibiotic that is used topically (on the skin) for the treatment of impetigo, a
bacterial disease of the skin caused by Staphylococcus aureus, beta-hemolytic
streptococcus andStreptococcus pyogeneaas.
S.E.:
Serious side effects are not expected to occur with mupirocin topical therapy. Stop using
mupirocin topical and see your doctor if you experience unusual blistering, itching, redness,
peeling, dryness, or irritation of the skin.
