Chinas premier platform for

intelligent building technology

www.building.messefrankfurt.com.cn

Unlimited opportunities for the smart city, intelligent

building and smart home market in China
Opportunities abound in Chinas sector for smart cities,
intelligent buildings and smart homes. The interrelated
nature of these three markets plays a significant role in
the future development of China and involved industry
players will find no shortage of business prospects.
Given the countrys rapid economic growth and
ambitious urbanisation plans, the development of smart
cities is currently one of the Governments top public
concerns. Currently, more than 400 smart cities exist
throughout the country and the size of the construction
market for such cities is expected to reach USD 639.9
billion.
In regards to the intelligent building market, property
owners are making conscious efforts to increase the use
of technologies and solutions that boost comfort,
convenience, efficiency and safety in buildings.
Consequently, there is strong demand for intelligent,
energy efficient and sustainable technologies. As such,
developers are incorporating advanced automation
systems, as well as utilising Internet of Things and cloud
computing technologies into their projects.
Furthermore, the aforementioned markets will benefit
from the burgeoning demand for smart homes with
integrated solutions and micro intelligent technologies.
Continuous improvements in information exchange,
mobile devices and Internet technologies bring
accelerated growth for the smart home market in China.
Resultantly, it is estimated that the market size will reach
USD 22.3 billion in 2018.
To stay in line with market development, the Shanghai
Intelligent Building Technology 2015 has three core
themes focusing on building efficiency, smart cities and
smart homes. The fair is a comprehensive platform
showcasing intelligent building solutions including
building automation systems and products, data centres,
generic cabling, community management systems,
smart home systems, audio and video systems, security
and access control systems, and much more.
Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology is a part of
Messe Frankfurts building and energy shows, headed by
the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, which
will take place from 13 18 March 2016.

Siam Greenergy Company Ltd (SGN) is an energy-saving solutions
provider. We are here because the government in Thailand is
placing a strong focus on energy efficiency and smart home
development. There are only a few related companies involved in
our business so the opportunities are huge for us. We found quite a
lot of quality brands, such as HDL, that we may work with. Overall,
the show is really good and this trip has been beneficial for us.
Mr Nichagoon Imtem, Managing Director,
Siam Greenergy Company Ltd (SGN)
Our company is a leading provider of commodity management
solutions and we are looking into the smart home market as it is a
sector with high growth potential. The overall arrangement of the
fair is very professional and there are many good quality exhibitors
presenting a wide variety of products. I am gaining a lot from this
visit and have a better understanding about the market trends.

Exhibitors applaud success of the exhibition

ABB is a global leader in power and automation
technologies. We decided to return for the second time
because the fair is one of the most professional building
technology exhibition platforms in China. To utilise this
platform this year, we showcased our new i-home and
e-home systems for modern Chinese households. I am
happy to report that we are extremely impressed with the
show as it exceeded all our expectations.
Ms Joyce Yang, Marketing Communications Officer,
ABB (China) Ltd
I was very satisfied with the visitor flow and met a lot of
potential clients at the fair, including suppliers and building
designers. The Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology
fair is a very effective platform for reaching our sales
targets and we will definitely join again next year.
