divided by religion and for most of us growing up in this nation, religious tradition of one sort or another has had a lasting influence on our sense of who we are and our place in the world. Perhaps the most profound influence has come through an implicit message that many of us imbibed not only from religious but also from our secular institutions, a message that declares If you want to be right, you need to do right. In essence we have been told you are what you do. Your worth can be measured by what you have achieved. Yet rather than help us find fulfilment and peace, has the effect of that message been in fact to drive us away from the very truth that reveals to us our true worth and identity? Jesus told a story of a father who had two sons. Both set out to discover their worth by doing. One did all the wrong things and one did all the right things, one walked away and one worked away, but neither found the worth they were searching for. Over the course of three nights, folk who have tried both routes and come to the same conclusion, will be sharing their experience of how they found their true worth in a different message, one that has scandalised religion for 2000 years; the message of grace. These meetings are free and open to all and there will be opportunity for prayer ministry for the sick. Further information can be seen at www.rivercityapostolic.org.
