I was born in 1978, November 12 th in Bagua Grande, a very hot city

during the year. My Mom used to say to me that when I was born I used
to smile to much, she say to me I am cute. By these days I am serious
boy and a little shy but so friendly.
Well, at the eight day of my born, my Mom was baptized me in the
Santa Teresita church in Bagua Grande and about my name, my mom
chose it. My godparents were Karina Centeno e Ittogami Ochoa, really
nice persons, who since then are my guide on my way, they are part of
my family, and Mom loves them.
When I started my primary school in 1984, was so easy I remember,
because, it was seem that the school were waiting for me, I was a very
good football player as a student, until these days I go on with my
friends to play it especially on weekends, because on weeks everybody
works.

There was a difficult time on my life that it hurts me because I was
just 10 years old, includes Mom. My parents separated in 1988. Now I
can say that my mom made the best decision and thank God I stayed with
her until now, but did not understand it before so I was very young.
Four years later, in 1992, we moved to Chiclayo, where I met who is
now my best friend, his name is Willy.
I finished high school in 1994, I remember Mom made much effort I
managed to go traveling promotional and I thank her, because on that trip
I met the woman who stole my breath and ended up getting married in
the 2011, December 19th. I have been studying at the university since
2010 and while studying distance is not so easy, I make the most of my
efforts accompanying my every day work and offering a better quality of
life for the two women in my life: my Mom and my love.

2. Write your point of view (as an industrial engineer student) about the
global warming .List the ways to help slow down and protect our
environment.
From my point of view, global warming is one of the gravest threats to our
environment, our health and our economy, as always, the development of
technology has grown by leaps and bounds that allowed us to create large
industries very advanced levels, but at the same time some of these
technologies also brought negative consequences as we see today, such as
transport, from combustion engines and thermoelectric based on the
combustion of oil and coal, which are two extraordinary developments of
human ingenuity with positive impacts for society, also have negative impacts,
because after using these fuels intensively for nearly two hundred years, only
recently identified, just three decades ago that their emissions are major
causes of global warming, the main threat exists on our planet today, as well as
several of our air pollution with serious consequences for human health.
Investigating the matter, a story similar to that of the two cases mentioned has
been repeated hundreds of technologies that have been under development by
the engineering sciences.
Incredibly, neither in the schools of the fifties or the sixties University, we never
said that something wrong was happening in our relationship with the
environment, due to the pressures of population growth and economic and
social development that the country was looking for. I think what we said just
because little was known, however, that in our country, and in the sixties, are
beginning to hear the voices of institutions, scientists and civil society leaders
showing pioneering actions for conservation of nature, which would serve as a
history of environmentalism, as we know it. Today there are several companies
that are very concerned with the sustainable development of our planet, for
example, Odebrecht is one of these companies, of which I am proud to belong,
because in every process we developed for the execution of the work assigned
by the Government from the most necessary care to the most essential in order
to preserve animal species, natural resources as well as human resources,

caring for the environment in which they are developed with welfare projects
developed in the general population .
I'm sure the following points may help further protect our environment:

Reduce Electricity consumption, using spotlights Savers.

Unplugging electrical appliances when them are not in use.
Reduce the use of non-recyclable packaging, use glass containers rather

than plastic ones.

Recycling plastic and aluminum container
Using the printer paper by printing on both sides, and then be recycled and

make Christmas cards for example.

Reducing the use of fossil fuels, gasoline, oil, and prefer to use gas.
Avoid open burning of agricultural waste.
Municipalities should prohibit the use of vehicles old and highly polluting

vehicles.
Making use of more environmentally friendly
Making cars with higher fuel efficiency
Making vehicles using alternative fuels, biofuels, electric
Raising awareness at school, at home and in our workplaces, starting with

ourselves and ending with those around us

Likewise, the problems of global warming and the importance of preventive
measures that can be taken to reduce pollution

Reading Comprehension/ Earth Day

EARTH DAY

The celebration of Earth Day began in California, in the city of San

Francisco. The first Earth Day celebration was held on March 21, 1970,
which was the first day of spring. Earth Day is now celebrated all over the
world, either on the first day of spring or on April 22nd.

We need to take care of Earth every day, not just on Earth Day. Earth
Day is important because it reminds us to stop and look at the problems of
our environment, and to evaluate what we can do to prevent those
problems.

Most experts agree that the most serious problems affecting Earth are
pollution and loss of resources. Pollution causes damage to air, soil, and
water. This affects all life on Earth. Pollution is caused by industries. For
example, water pollution is caused by run-off from factories. Pollution is
also caused by individuals. For example, automobiles release chemicals into
the air that make it difficult for humans, animals, and plants to breathe.

Taking steps to prevent or limit pollution in our own lives and throughout
the world is probably one of the most important things we can to maintain
life on Earth.
We lose resources when we use them carelessly. We need to reduce the
amount of things we use and the amount of things we throw away. We need
to fix things and re-use them, rather than throwing them out. We need to
recycle materials that are recyclable, by separating out plastic, bottles,
and recyclable paper from other garbage. These are things that everyone
can do.

Being aware of the problems of our environment is very important. Taking

steps to prevent those problems is even more important. As individuals, we
can follow the rules of reduce, reuse, recycle daily. As families, we can
try to use materials that are environmentally friendly and to limit our
dependence on materials that cause pollution and resource loss. As
students, we can work in teams to educate ourselves and others. As
citizens, we can write to government representatives to let them know our
priorities.

Starting our home, teaching our family how to reduce the impact
