CHAPTER 2
This study is about Juvenile Delinquency which is defined as a participation in
illegal behavior by minors or Juveniles, Juvenile Delinquency also known as juvenile
offending, or youth crime. Most legal systems prescribe specific procedures for
dealing with juvenile, such as juvenile detention centers and courts. Usually a juvenile
delinquent is a person who is typically under the age of 19 and commits an act that
otherwise would have been charged as a crime if they were an adult. Depending on
the type and severity of the offense committed, it is possible for persons under 18 to
be charged and tried as adults to perform crimes. Juvenile Delinquency is the
tendency of teenagers to go against what is right because of the absence of parental
guidance, a violation of the law committed by a juvenile and not punishable by death
or life imprisonment.
The number one reason of a delinquent person is the lack of parental guidance, this
reason is widespread among minors. Parental guidance that protects juveniles is

important to avoid a case of juvenile delinquency. Abandonment of parents also

reason why minors delinquent, the lost of parents affect the minor to do what they
cant when they parents is guiding them. Bad influence of environment may increase
the cases of juvenile delinquency because of his/her environment this may affect the
mindset of a minor to do crimes and silliness. Bad influence of friends is also a reason
of minor to go against right. Friends are the second close to you number in the family,
what your friend do it may affect to you also and sometimes what your friends do this
things you also do.
When we are talking about the effects of juvenile delinquency here are the effects
in school. Juvenile delinquency may ruin the name of school, if may students that are
minors probably delinquent the school it names may ruin and nobody will claim the
they are brace to enroll in the school. Juvenile delinquency may also destroy the
dignity of the school that may gossip in other school. Increase of youthful that tends
to addiction is also the effect of Juvenile delinquency, delinquent of an individual may
go onto wrong path that tend to addiction.
