Editors Letter
Its been a while since Ive put one of these together the funny thing is Id collected these
images months ago, [12 of December] according to my Dropbox account and never really got
round to it until now. All these responsibilities and other side projects that come along with getting
older were completely unexpected. Anyway enough about me and more about this issue.
Now I know Ive already put together and issue on video game photography but that one focused
more on what was current gen at the time which is old gen now, games are looking a lot better
now I mean have you seen what Assassin Creed Unity, Driveclub and The Order 1886 look
like? These games and many others are pushing the boundaries of what can be done with the
hardware to they run on and it really shows. I actually wouldnt blame you if you thought some of
these screenshot were pre-rendered cg scenes. The amount of polygons on show, simulation and
render techniques used are pretty much the same as something form a Pixar movie, well apart
from the post production. Its a very positive and some what scary glimpse of what games might
look like in the future.
One final note before you go to the next page, Ive started a small gaming/movie/tv podcast with
a few friends called Jump Shoot Reload ( jumpshootreload.com) , if youre into any of those topics
