ISANG pangkat pangkalikasan ang nagbabalang sa kabila ng paulit-ulit na paalala mula sa Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) Philippines, patuloy na binebenta sa Maynila ang ilang tatak ng lipstick na may taglay
na atrocious na antas ng mga nakalalasong sangkap.
Sinabi ng EcoWaste Coalition
sa isang pahayag kahapon na
nakabili ito ng 35 uri ng lipsticklahat may mapanganib
na antas ng tinggasa mga tindahan sa Quiapo at Divisoria sa
kabila ng pagbabawal na
pinataw ng FDA sa ilan sa mga
produktong ito.
Ayon sa pangkat, kahit ipinagbawal ng FDA noong Enero
ang mga lipstick na Baolishi
#20 at Monaliza #5 dahil sa
taglay nitong tingga na mahigit
sa 20 parts per million (ppm)
na tinakdang hangganan ng
Asean Cosmetics Directive,

binebenta pa rin ito sa Quiapo

at Divisoria.
Kabilang sa mga pinagbawal
na produkto ang Miss Beauty
New Formulized Moisture Lipstick at Miss Beauty BB Spray
UV Resistance Whitening Spray.
Inulat din ng pangkat na
nakabili ito ng 33 iba pang produkto sa mga tindahan sa
Quiapo at Divisoria na nagtataglay ng mga nakaaalarmang
antas ng tingga na mula 2,278
hanggang 17,100 ppmmahigit
850 ulit ng hangganang itinakda ng Asean Cosmetics Directive.

P9M at stake in QC festival

GRANTS worth a total of P9 million are
at stake in the Quezon City Film Development Commissions
(QCFDC) Circle Competition and DoQC International Documentary Competition.
Open to all new
filmmakers, the competition is part of the
2015 QCinema International Film Festival.
Eight narrative feature films will be given P1 million each as
part of the QCinema
Circle Competition for
New Filmmakers.
The organizers announced that the
filmmakers will retain
all film rights. However, QCFDC, as executive producers, reserves the right to
screen the film during
selected events. The
films should also have
their Philippine premiere in QCinema
2015.
The competition
for new filmmakers is
open to those who
have not made more
than three feature
films. To join, the
filmmaker must submit a completed application form; a profile of proponents, including the director,
writer and producer;
a soft copy in PDF
format and hard copy
of the one-page synopsis, the directors
statement, sequence
outline and complete
screenplay (preferred); and a sample
of directors works in
DVD format.
Also needed are
the proposed budget
outline in the format
of preproduction, production and postproduction.
Screenplay must
have a minimum of
60 sequences and estimated running time
should be no more
than 100 minutes.
Submitted film output
must be in AVI format

with English subtitles.

Cofinanciers may be
involved as long as
the overall budget is
pegged at P3 million
maximum.
