DESCRIPTION:
An automated system is to be developed to control the motor rotation of wheel
chair based on head and finger movement of physically challenged person. In order to
facilitate these people for their independent movement, an accelerometer device is fitted
on persons head and a flex sensor is fixed in a glove which is to be wear by the person.
Based on the head and finger movements the accelerometer and the flex sensor will drive
the motor fitted to the wheel chair. The wheel chair can be driven in any of the four
directions. The automated wheelchair is based on simple electronic control system and

the mechanical arrangement that is controlled by a Programmable Interface Controller.

This automatic wheel chair also helps people who have various other disabilities to sit on
the chair and just hold the accelerometer and move it over to control the vehicle
movements. In this paper the wheel chair has been mimicked using a robot. Our present
project discusses controlling the robot by RF communication. In this project we are going
to develop an embedded system, which will control fire detection robot control with
commands from a Remote device through radio frequencey.
Radio frequency is used to communicate and respond to the remote commands
and those commands are sent to the the micro controller via RS 232 communication
means MAX232 chip. The RF module which we are going to use for this project is
315/433MHz. this module is connected to the dedicated serial communication pins of the
microcontroller which are RxD and TxD. The transmitting board is in our hand and the
receiving board will be at the far end where our process has to implement. The system
uses a compact circuitry build around flash version of AT89S52 microcontroller with a
non volatile memory
Programs are developed using Embedded C, compiled using RIDE tool. ISP is
used to dump the code into microcontroller.
SOFTWARE:
Embedded C
RIDE to write code
ISP to burn the chip
HARDWARE:
At89s52 based our own developed board
Power Supply
RF Module
H-Bridge driving motors
Max232

ADVANTAGES: Low cost, automated operation, Low Power consumption.
