Cisco Certified Network Associate (200-120)

Course Abstract
The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a foundation in and
apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and
operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including
but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP,
Ethernet, Access Lists.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
1. 1 Week of course devoted to LAN Concepts as it gives strong foundation.
2. 1 hour theory and one and half hour practical class per session.
3. Using Real Routers for advanced router configuration to enable students to work on real
time environment.
4. Sessions on telnet into real CISCO router to make configurations.
5. Students with weak background on networking can avail special classes on Fridays.
6. Classes missed can be re-attended on Fridays or next batch.
TECHNICAL RESOURCES
Lab Activities:
Enter router commands, drag and drop objects, and answer questions on topics ranging from IP
address classes to basic router configuration to extended ACLs. We will make sure the student
have a full understanding of router command syntax.
Emulation:
Emulators and simulators would be provided to students to practice the sessions at home and to
master the expertise to configure routers independently.
Question Bank:
Would be provided for the CCNAx exam with detailed questions and answers.
