Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love
is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

I am made in Gods image. Genesis 1: 26-31

I will worship God, and serve only Him. Matthew 4:8-9
The word was with God, and the word was God. John 1:1

Because sin entered the earth through a human being, it

would take another human to pay the penalty for those sins
and release or free the humans from the power of their sins.

John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.

There is a legal system in heaven just like there is a legal

system on the earth. When someone disobeys the laws of
the land they live in, they are punished and they have to pay
a fine or be put in jail. When Adam and Eve sinned in the
garden, they had to be punished for their sin. The penalty
for sin was death. Sinning is a serious thing to God. But God
did not want them to die, or be separated from Him forever.
So instead of destroying them He sent a substitute to die in
their place. The substitute had to be a human being. It was a
human being who broke the laws of God here on the earth,
therefore only another human being could pay the penalty
for those sins. This was the way God planned it. Gods Son,
Jesus had to come to the earth the same way every other
human being comes. He had to be born as a baby. He could
not bring any of His supernatural power from heaven with
Him. Jesus had to play the game of life the same way you and
I do. By not using His God-powers, He also showed us we can
do all the same miracles He did if we have faith in God the
way He did.
