Mechanical Sciences & Engineering/
employee of an industry working in
R&D/ research fellow / PG Student in
the relevant field from Technical
Institution.

The increased need for biodegradable

lubricants can be traced to stronger
environmental concerns and growing
regulations over contaminations and
pollution. There is a growing public interest
in environmentally friendly lubricants due
to awareness of environmental problems
associated with conventional mineral oil
lubricants.
In this context, this workshop is proposed to
explore and strengthen the potential of
utilizing the plentifully available BioLubricants & and the recent developments
in this area.

Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan,

established in the year 1960-61, under
the auspices of The Malnad Technical
Education Society, Hassan. At present,
the college offers 9 B.E. programs,
5 M.Tech. programs , MCA program and
full time Ph.D. program and has 2750
students on its rolls. The institution has
been able to contribute a large pool of
talented engineers and researchers. The
College is one amongst the 19
Engineering Colleges in the State
qualified for Phase-2 of the Technical
Education
Quality
Improvement
Program, a world bank sponsored
project.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT:
The department has grown strong over
the last 54 years and has an intake of 120
students and 30 teaching staff. All the
faculty members are well qualified and
experienced. It is recognized as research
centres by Visveswaraya Technological
University, Belgaum. The department
offers four years B.E. course , P.G. Course,
M. Sc. (Engg.) and also Ph.D. Programme.
