Graduate Accountant
This position is an entry level graduate position which will provide the successful candidate the
opportunity to begin their career training with peers that combines professional attitude and proactive
thinking styles to achieve outcomes for their clients. It will also provide you with support for CA or
CPA studies and other industry institutes.
To be successful in this position, you will have tertiary qualification in accounting/commerce and have
excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a permanent role therefore, you must have
full work rights to be considered.
Junior Accountant
Mentored by a senior accountant you will assist in all facets of public practice accounting. Servicing a
diverse range of clients in a variety of industries you will be responsible for the preparation of Income
tax returns, Business activity statements and Financial statements.
To be successful for this position, you will have tertiary qualification in accounting/commerce previous
professional practice experience gained within a business services/tax environment. In addition, you
will have excellent written and oral communication skills, have exceptional organisation skills, have
the ability to prioritise work and be able to hit the ground running.

Working as a Graduate Accountant / Accounts Payable Officer and reporting directly to the Company
Accountant you will:

Be responsible for the management of creditors and all aspects of the Accounts Payable
function;

Overseeing cheque and EFT payment runs;

Posting journals to the General Ledger;

Management and entry of accruals;

Be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and intending to obtain your CA/CPA accreditation;

become available in our accounts team, reporting to the Financial Controller you will assist in the
accounts department and be a vital member of the team.
Duties and responsibilities in this role include:

Data entry Entering daily sales figures

Following up on cash variances

Cash reconciliations

Liaising with stores for all banking or store daily sales variances

Cash book entries

Monthly Petty Cash reconciliation

Updating Fixed Asset Register and compiling relevant paperwork

Assisting with filing and invoice reconciliation

Daily reception cover


Ad Hoc duties as requested

An opportunity exists for a graduate accountant to commence in late March / early April 2015.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a broad range of tasks associated with the
management of insolvent entities.
Tasks associated with the role include:

Dealing with stakeholders

Securing and realising assets

Conducting investigations

Preparing reports

Being involved in trading companies subject to external administration


The successful applicant will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A degree in Accounting or Business/Commerce with an accounting major

Have commenced or be eligible to commence the CA program within 12 months

Be committed to a career in Accounting - an interest in Insolvency will be considered an


advantage

Have proven time management skills

Be a team player

Have had previous work experience

A current Victorian drivers licence and own transport will be viewed favorably.
