Because this area is part of the main activities we are going to perform
every day in our classrooms when teaching English. Working on this area
will benefit teachers and students, both parts will be provided with new
techniques enhancing meaningful learning, the use of technology has
have an impact within our society and we need to take advantage of
such situation. In this way technology could have an impact in language
teaching due to the attachment that learners have to new technology
nowadays, the access to a large amount of information through the
internet can be used to help students in their learning processes as a
useful tool that needs to be taken more into account.

Whats your justification? Explain who will be benefit from your
research and why. Be thorough.
There are two categories of materials for listening comprehension. The
first one is ESL material which is designed for students who are learning
English as a foreign language. It is modified from authentic language
sources to encourage learning and accomplishment of the student.
However, listening activities created for ESL classrooms lack several
elements presented in authentic materials.
Authentic material which is taken from real language represents a real
challenge forstudents who will be provided with cultural knowledge, real
pronunciation and intonation.It is a great source that provides valuable
tools to improve receptive skills.
In addition, facing real use of English in the world and being able to
understand authentic material will prepare studentsfor real world
communication as long as they are willing to put into practice their
learning.
It is not the same to be learning with material that is artificial at some
extent than to be learning with material that is intended to
communicate.
In this way students will feel more involved with the language and will be
exposed to formal and informal English.
Another advantage of using authentic material from early stages is to
teach students to use and get used to it in order to have the ability to
make the most of it in advanced levels.
It is mainly used in advanced levels due to the degree of difficulty that
includes but it is not used with beginners. This research will give
different examples of activities in which authentic material is used for
basic levels.
