Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love
is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.

Jesus became Gods plan to save us from the power Satan

had won over the earth when man sinned.

John 3:16, For God so loved the world, He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not
perish but have eternal life.

God created a beautiful world in only 5 days. On the 6th day,
He created the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, to live in
it. God had good plans for them. They would be His closest
friends; everything created was created just for them to enjoy.
All they had to do was follow one rule: they could eat from
every tree except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. If
they disobeyed Gods rule and ate from that tree they would
die, which meant they would be apart from God. They didnt
know they had an enemy called Satan who was listening
as God gave them the rule. Satan also had a plan for Adam
and Eve; not to be their friend or help them. His plan was to
use them to gain control of the earth. He took the form of a
snake and convinced Eve that God did not know what He was
talking about. She fell for his lie and convinced Adam. They
both disobeyed Gods rule and realized too late that they had
been tricked. Our loving God would find another way to save
the world from Satans evil plans. He sent His Son, Jesus, to
earth to live a perfect life, die a cruel death, and be raised to
life again, using His own blood as a sacrifice for the sins of
everyone who will receive Him as their Savior.
