Fake / Unauthorized Institutions
All India Council of Open Schooling (AICOS) is an Open Schooling Council an Minority Educational Institute, an autonomous
National body to cater to the needs of a heterogeneous group of learners up to pre-degree level registered under Trust Act for
promotion and development pre-primary level course, primary level course, Vocational Stream-I ( VIII level + Short Terms Courses),
Vocational Stream-II (10th standard), Vocational Stream-III (12th standard) & Vocational Education in Open and distance mode and
some of cases in regular mode on different stream under the NCERT and West Bengal approved syllabus. Vocation education and
Training courses are implemented at two level or tiers, one designated as short term vocational courses / training of 6 months
duration ( VIII + level Short Terms Courses ), Some Courses/training of 12 months, 18 Months duration (10th standard) and the other
of two years & three years duration ( X + II level ) courses.

AICOS is conducting Public Examinations twice in an year i.e. April and October, and On Demand Exam also. It is brought to the notice
of all concerned that AICOS has neither engaged / authorized any agent nor agency for the purpose. In order to pay the Admission /
Examination fee, the learner has also the option to submit his / her fee (admission as well as examination) through offline mode by
depositing the same through Accredited Vocational Institution (AVI) or AICOS. No cash transaction is to be made through any of
agencies. Instances have also come to the notice of the authorities whereby learners are being cheated by overcharging illegitimate
fees through unauthorized Agencies/Institutes. Instance has come to notice wherein recently some institutions have also activated
their websites. The said organizations use almost similar names. In this context it is clarified that AICOS has no link with the said
institutions. In view of this, AICOS will also not be responsible for any excess payment towards Admission, Examination or fee and for
approaching unauthorized agencies / institutions for any other purposes. Learners are therefore advised to submit the Admission /
Examination Fee, either through the Online process through AICOS web portal www.aicos.edu.in or through the Accredited Vocational
Institution (AVI) of AICOS only, for timely credit of fee.
