STEP 1

5mm

FORMER #1

UNDERCARRIAGE WIRE

& Cut groove for undercarriage wire

into Former #2. Center line of wire
should be 5mm above battery bay
cutout.
& Place undercarriage wire into groove
and check that it is flush with the
surface.
& Glue Former #1 into position, aligning
the inside faces of the formers.

STEP 2

BATTERY BAY WALL

RC TRAY

& Glue the two Battery Bay Walls into

position onto the RC Tray. Slightly flex
the walls to allow them to locate
correctly.
BATTERY BAY WALL

BATTERY BAY REAR WALL

STEP 3

& Glue the Battery Bay Rear Wall

into position.
& Glue Former #3 into position.
Note: Former #3 can only be
assembled in one orientation.

FORMER #3

STEP 4

& Firstly test fit the front former assembly

into the main assembly, trimming the
slot as necessary.
& Finally glue into position ensuring that
the front former assembly is fully
seated.

BATTERY BAY TOP

STEP 5

& Glue the Battery Bay Top into position.

MOTOR SHELF

STEP 6
& Glue the Motor Shelf into position by
sliding it into the rear slots and then
down over the front keys. Note: The
motor shelf can only be assembled in
one orientation.

STEP 7
FIRE WALL

& Glue the Fire Wall into position.

Note: The Fire Wall can only be
assembled in one orientation.

STEP 8
MOTOR STICK

& Glue the Motor Stick into position

using 5min epoxy. Note: The Motor
Stick should be 105mm in length.

LOOP MATERIAL

STEP 9

& Glue the Hook and Loop battery

retainers into position. Use a small
length of loop material to fasten
the hook portion to the battery bay
side wall. Use 5min epoxy.

STEP 10

FUSELAGE BOTTOM

& Score the inside surface of the

Fuselage Bottom at the bend line
at the front of the battery bay
cutout.
& Position on fuselage inner structure
and mark locations where the
Fuselage Bottom needs to be
notched to clear the undercarriage
wire. Notch as required.
& Finally glue into position ensuring
alignment with the fuselage inner
formers.

STEP 11
& Score the inside surface of the
Fuselage Sides at the front and rear
of the wing saddle as shown.
& Make angled holes in the fuselage
sides for the push rod guides at
positions shown on the plans.
& Dry fit the fuselage sides to check
alignment.
& Finally glue the fuselage sides into
position.
FUSELAGE SIDES

FUSELAGE FRONT TOP

Note: This is a critical step, ensure that the

fuselage is not twisted and that the rear of the
fuselage meets correctly

STEP 12

& Glue the Fuselage Front Top into

position. Trim the formers to
achieve a flush fit if necessary.

STEP 13
PUSH ROD TUBES

& Install the push rod tubes.

FUSELAGE REAR TOP

STEP 14

& Glue the Fuselage Rear Top into

position, aligning the front edge
with the front face of Former #3.

VERTICAL STABILIZER

STEP 15

& Glue the Vertical Stabilizer into

position. Ensure that the stabilizer is
perpendicular.

STEP 16
& Glue the Horizontal Stabilizer into
position. Firstly dry fit to check alignment.
Sand or trim mounting surfaces to
achieve correct alignment if required.
& Measure from the tips of stabilizer to a
point at the front of the fuselage. The
measurements should be the same.
HORIZONTAL STABILIZER

TAIL SKID WIRE

STEP 17

& Glue the Tail Skid Wire into position. Cut a

small groove into the foam to increase
the gluing area.

STEP 18

15mm

& Trim or Sand a 45 degree bevel onto the

front of both the Rudder and Elevator.
& Slot the Rudder and Elevator for hinges
and install.

75mm

15mm

15mm

STEP 19

& Slot both the Vertical and Horizontal

Stabilizers to accept the hinges in
corresponding locations as to the Rudder
and Elevator.
& Dry fit to check assembly.
& Add a drop of glue to each hinge and
install the control surface.

STEP 20

& Finally install the motor, ESC, control

horns, push rods, servos and RC gear.

STEP 21
& Heat form the wing
panels. Cut out the
ailerons and sections for
the wing braces as per
the drawings.

STEP 22
200mm

50mm

& Glue the 200mm long, 4mm OD,

Carbon Tube wing braces to the front of
each wing panel using 5min epoxy. Do
not glue the first 50mm section at the
center of each wing.
Tip: Use tape to hold brace in position and then
apply glue.

STEP 23
& Bend two 4mm ID Brass Tube dihedral
braces, one front and one rear. Bend to
give 2 degrees of dihedral per wing
panel.

176 degrees

35mm

35mm

Front Dihedral Brace

50mm

50mm
Rear Dihedral Brace

STEP 24
& Slide the two wing panels onto the front
dihedral brace.

STEP 25
& Tape the Rear Dihedral Brace into
position and then glue using 5min epoxy.
& Add glue to the center join and Front
Dihedral brace if required.

MICRO AILERON HARDWARE

STEP 26

& Cut two grooves in line with the aileron

hinge line for the Micro Aileron hardware.
The groove should be deep enough so
that the torque rod lies on the center line
of the aileron.
& Install Micro Aileron hardware.

STEP 27
30mm

& Trim or Sand a 45 degree bevel

onto the front of both Ailerons.
& Slot the Ailerons for hinges and
install.

170mm

170mm

STEP 28

& Slot both wing panels to accept

the hinges in corresponding
locations as to the ailerons.
& Pierce a hole in the ailerons for the
torque rods.
& Dry fit to check assembly.
& Add a drop of glue to each hinge
and install the control surfaces.

STEP 29
& Assemble the aileron servo holder.

STEP 30
40mm

& Glue aileron servo holder into position.

STEP 31

& Install Bamboo Skewer wing hold downs.

& Install 50mm light wheels and retainers.
& Complete the installation of RC gear and propeller.
& Balance plane (with battery installed). Balance point should be
between 40 - 48mm from leading edge. [25 - 30% MAC]
