LESSON PLAN
I.
Objective
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to;
a. Understand what is mean, median and mode and how to use it,
b. Appreciate the use of measure central tendency in solving mean, median
and mode,
c. Solve the word problem involving mean, median and mode.
II.
Rationale
In this lesson the students will be perform to solve the given problem involving
mean, median and mode. The teacher will provide a worksheet for her/his
students that serve as their guide to follow in discussion. The teacher discusses
the lesson by giving some example to explain concretely. Teacher is the one to
facilitate and assess the students to understand the topic carefully.

IV.
Subject matter
a. Topic :
Measure of Central Tendency
b. Grade level: Grade 8
c. Materials:
Visual aid
Marker
Calculator
Worksheet
d. Resources: Book and computer
Procedure (45 minutes)
a. Prayer
The teacher will assign one student to lead the prayer.
b. Checking the attendance
The teacher will monitor the class by checking their attendance.
c. Greeting the students
The teacher will greet the students hows their day.
d. Introduction of the lesson
Before the teacher discuss the topic they will divide the
students by pair, in order for them to answer the worksheet
provided by the teacher. The name of this activity is Think
Pair Share. In order for the students to understand the topic
carefully. This worksheet serve as the guide to follow and
understand the topic discussion by the students.
What is measure central tendency?
- Measures of central tendency are statistical measures which
describe the position of a distribution.
