Computer Networks

This is my favourite subject and i am thinking of doing masters in it. I have written a
short introduction of the subject, and i will suggest you to read it before starting
with the subject as it will help you to build the concepts. Here's the link for those
notes:

http://techbits.co.in/forum/6th-semester/must-read(before-studying-computernetworks)/

I have also made its notes while i was preparing for GATE and i think it will surely
help you in academics as well as for GATE, here's the link for that:

Plus Coursera has started a course on Computer Networks (taught by David

Wetherall, Co-Author with Tannenbaum @ University of Washington), i have done
the course and i will rate it as 9/10...

here's the link for that:

Books: Fourzan, Tannenbaum

Data Warehousing and Data

Mining
One of the interesting subjects if you want to pursue in the field of research as it is
one of the budding technologies of the decade. It is related to many branches of

engineering like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, etc.

I will say that if you have interest in these areas mentioned above, this is an
important subject for you.

For others who just want to pass it, an easy subject i will say.

Books: Paulraj Pooniah

Microprocessor Systems
Well, for IT/CSE people this is another subject for programmers and for ECE/EEE
people another electronics subject. I found this subject interesting. This subject
makes you aware of how our processor is built, it teaches you how our I3,I5,I7 intel
processor's great grand daddy was born and what it was capable of handling. This
subject teaches 8086 processor's Architecture and how to program using Assembly
language.

Books: Hall (not Sunil Mathur)

Object Oriented Software

Engineering
Well for me this is another boring subject, not because of its contents but because
of the way it is taught in our colleges, long hours of boring lectures with nothing to
do in labs. Just cram it up and you will pass.

Books: Wo katson waali se padh lo yaar

Digital Communication 2(For

IT)
Well what i can say, just 2 chapters, that's it, just 2 chapters for complete semester,
come'on you can easily ace this subject.

Book: Our life saviour Sanjay Sharma(again!!!!)

Digital Signal Processing

It was a nightmare for me.If you have heart problems, this subject isn't for you.
DSP= Degree Stopping Paper, anything else to say?? This is the only subject you
should worry about in your complete engineering, it will give you tension, it is quite
difficult for CSE/IT people because it's requisite is not taught to them(Signal and
Systems). But there's a course on coursera for the subject, and it might help you.

I am attaching a link for that course:
