Crochet Flower Pattern

With the beautiful weather this week, it seems ex tremely fitting to be working on a floral crochet project. As
promised, here is my crochet flower pattern that I am using for my Honest Thistle window display . It's been so
enjoy able and I'm so ex cited to see them in their new home. Happy Crochet!
If y ou make any flowers from my pattern, i'd lov e to see y our fabulous crochet work! Tweet or Instagram y our
photos using the hash tag #messy lacrochet x x
What Y ou'll Need:
DMC Natura Y arn - I used N29 Lazulite for this pattern
2.5mm and 3mm Crochet Hooks
Darning Needle
Scissors
Tape Measurer
Crochet Terms Used:
Ch - Chain
Tr - Treble Crochet
Abov e are English crochet terms, but here is a handy little conv ertor.
What To Do:
Round One:
Ch 6
Slip stitch to join to make a ring.

Round Tw o:
Ch 4 (1 tr and 1 ch)
1 tr, 1 ch around the ring until y ou hav e 1 2 altogether. Then slip stitch to join. (1 2 spaces)

Round Three:
Ch 5 (1 tr and 2 ch)
1 tr, 2 ch around the circle, going in each 1 ch of prev ious round. Then slip stitch to join on the first tr.

Round Four:
Ch 3 (1 tr) and 3 tr in the first loop. (4 tr in each loop). Continue all the way around y our circle, crocheting 4 tr
in each ch 2 of the prev ious round. Slip stitch to join.

Round Five:
Then slip stitch between the 1 st and 2nd tr of the 4 tr group. Ch 5, slip stitch between the 3rd and 4th tr of the
prev ious 4 tr group. This makes y our first petal loop!
Again, slip stitch between the 1 st and 2nd tr of the nex t 4 tr group. Continue ch 5 around, making the petal
loops. When y ou get to the last loop, slip stitch in the 3rd stitch (because the 4th stitch is where y ou began).

Round Six:
1 0 tr in each loop around. Slip stitch to finish in the top of the first tr stitch. Cut y arn and sew in ends.

For the stems:

Continually chain to y our desired length and attach to flowers using a slip stitch.
