There is a pre established limit of 30,000 gallons of
maximum extraction of well water per day. The system
should be capable of monitoring the total water extracted
per day and should be capable of avoiding to exceed the
maximum extraction limit.

Water entering the tank should be monitored for
turbidity.
On the event of a high turbidity the system should
divert the make up water to drain and keep the
turbidity monitoring. If situation is solved then the
make up could be established.
If high turbidity parameter remains high for more than
10 minutes a visible alarm should be generated.

Control Specifications
Potable water distribution will be implemented by a pump
pair sequence having pump 1 as the lead pump and
pump 2 as the stand by pump.
The lead pump will be always on and the stand by pump
will operate based on high demand of the three users of
in the event of a failure of the lead pump.
This high demand will be determined based on
distribution header pressure. If the header pressure
goes under 25 psig the lag pumps should be started.
If the header pressure returns to a normal pressure of 50
pumps the lag pumps should be turned off.

Control Specifications
As the well water is not chlorinated, a chlorine injection
control loop should be provided monitoring the total free
chlorine a recirculation line available from the distribution
pump discharge to the tank level and keeping this
parameter at a set point of 2 PPM.
Concentrated chlorine should be injected on this
recirculation line using a variable speed injection pump.
The chlorine parameter should be monitored and
alarmed for high and low alarms. If the chlorine
parameter is over a high high or a low low predetermined
set points the system should shut down the potable
water distribution pumps and an a visible alarm should
be generated.
