HOW TO RENDER A SUBSPACE KAIJU - YOU CAPTURE IT IN A TRAP!

In 2501 a secret Comoros experiment using subspace energies went horribly wrong. At a crucial moment a subspace rift opened
releasing a rampaging subspace beast. After a pitched five-hour battle the beast was finally slain at great cost. 493 lay dead including a
company of Comoros soldiers, several scientists and telepaths. 364 million credits in property damage was incurred including the
complete destruction of the lab, a heavy transport shuttle and three C-880 Assault Tanks. Despite the loss of life and property,
Comoros administrators considered the cost acceptable.
Near the end of the battle the subspace Kaiju, heavily wounded by responding Comoros forces, phased out and attempted to
rematerialize among the ruins of the lab. As it began to phase back in to our reality, a lone Comoros telepath struck the entity with a
Plasmic Assault blast powered with Telepathic Might! Critically injured, the beast rematerialized, inadvertently melding with the
shattered, psi-active remnants of the facility generator. Trapped and unable to respond the remaining Comoros forces took down the
entity with little difficulty.
Unlike other incidents involving subspace beasts, this particular Kaiju did not phase out of existence. Trapped within the psi-active
shards of the lab power station, the dead entity provided Comoros scientists and telepaths a great boon of scientific wealth. The items
below represent examples of products derived from this research.
ABASSI PSI SYSTEMS PK-182 STIM PHAZE
Comoros Agents (Verstaan Level 3+)
Extracted from the spinal fluid of a subspace kaiju, Phaze comes in a small, clear vial filled with a luminous, cloying serum run through
with bright, sparkling motes. Phaze is injected into the users bloodstream by holding the vial over the heart or prominent vein (autoguided via integrated sensor).
Phaze users experience a euphoric rush and a sense of near-weightlessness for the duration of the drug. While under the effects of
Phaze, users appear to flicker in and out of reality making it difficult to target them.
System
1. Every round users roll D3 to determine the bonus to Defense.
2. Enemies targeting users with ranged weapons take a D3 penalty to attack action checks.
3. All damage inflicted on the user is reduced by D3 points per attack (Minimum 1 point).
These effects are due to users continuous phasing in and out of reality.
Penalties
Although the benefits in combat are welcomed, the constant phasing inhibits the users own actions, although to a lesser degree. Users
take a -1 penalty to all relevant skill checks for the duration of the drug.
Phaze effects lasts for the current scene
