Aims
The aim of this module is to introduce to students legal and other frameworks at both
national and international level of relevance to electronics and communications
engineering.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
On completion of this module students should be able to:
1. identify whether or not simple devices are in compliance with legal/standard
requirements;
2. recognize international organisations that promote the use of standards (such as
ISO) and a detailed understanding of at least relevant standard;

On completion of this module students should be able to/demonstrate ability to:
3. give a simple example device so as to identify where it is/is not in compliance with
legal/standard requirements;

On completion of this module students should be able to/demonstrate ability to:
