ABOUT PERTUA
PERTUA is a dynamic and innovative company established in 1988
to provide a scientific breakthrough in lubrication technology which
offers numerous significant economic benefits and advantages.Its
flagship invention , Pertua Oil and Metal Treatment is patented both in
the U.S and in the Philippines.

In the year 2000, more than a decade later, PERTUAs portfolio of lubricant
products continuous to evolve to meet the needs of the customers and
distributors thus APEX EXELLO & other Pertua derivative products
were born.

PERTUA therefore, has spent more than two decades developing a
global reach, with millions of satisfied customers and both in the USA
and Philppines.
With its long established distribution method of retail and industrial
marketing, PERTUA was able to penetrate not only the geographical
borders of the Philippines, but also braved to market the product in the
United States.
While the companys global presence continues to grow, PERTUA is

BRIEF HISTORY
ENGR. JOHN A. SIMON, is the inventor of PERTUA lubricants and allied petrochemical
products. Prior to getting into business of oil lubricants, he had immersed himself in
the pursuit of activities closely allied with metallurgy, the science and technology of
metals including metal fabrications, machine shop and welding technologies. In 1985 he
diversified into a related field lubrication technology which he learned and mastered
as a research at an International Oil Company in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
It was the convergence of his knowledge of metallurgy and lubrication that enabled him
to conceptualize a new technology that would produce an Oil and Metal Treatment which
significantly solves the foremost problem in Mechanical Engines not yet addressed by
engine manufactureres.
Out of this technology a product called Tribotech was invented by Simon and was sold
in the U.S. Tribotech had amazing results. It greatly reduced friction in the metal surfaces
of engines resulting in better gas mileage, longer engine life by as much as three
times, and reduced carbon hydrocarbon and
harmful gas emissions. A test of the efficiency
of Tribotech was conducted by Project group
West of Cypress, California, an Independent
consulting firm, whereby a car that had been
earlier treated with Tribotech and then drained
of all of its oil, was driven 776 miles and the
result was no damage whatsoever to the
vehicle. Whereas, when a car runs out of engine
oil, it could continue running for only 3 miles to
5 kilometers until it bogs down.
In 1994 Simon launched his version of Tribotech
in the Philippines under the brand name Pertua
which has createda number of loyal followers
inside and outside the country.
In 1995, John A. Simon was accredited as a
Genuine International Inventor after he required
a Patent for technology from the United States
Patent Office and registered it worldwide. In this
same year, he was awarded as Most Outstanding
Energy Manger by the department of Energy
and the Energy Management Association of the
Philippines.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Engr. John A. Simon
CEO and Chairman of the Board

Engr. Simon is a premier Metallurgist, Tribologist, Mechanical and Lubrication Engineer.

With his Pertua Technology (formerly called Tribotech IJP in the US), he earned
the right to be recognized a world-class inventor, and as such, he was bestowed
multiple awards like: Silver Medalist during the 3rd Festival Filipino Inventions in
1989 spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Most
Outstanding Energy Manager Award by the Department of Energy (DOE) in the year
1996, Imbentor ng Maynila Award in1999, Outstanding Filipino Inventor given by
Filipino Inventors Society (FIS) in the year 2008. He was recognized by the Minnesota
Inventors Congress as an Outstanding International Inventor in April 20, 2013. He
is currently a director of the Filipino Inventors Society (FIS), Vice President for
International of Philippine Mechanical Engineering Practitioners, Inc. and member of
the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) based in Chicago, Illinois.
He is an active Rotarian and was awarded Most Outstanding Club President in District
3780, Rotary Year 2010 2011. Today, Engr. Simon has turned more aggressive into
bringing his inventions to the next level consequently, in line with the countrys growth
in manufacturing, Transportation and Energy.

Atty. Pablo M. Gancayco

Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Board

Atty. Gancayco obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines
and is a graduate of the Intensive Course on Industrial Property in Strasbourg, France.
In 1991, he started his own law firm together with his father, Justice Emilio A. Gancayco
to become what is now the Gancayco, Balasbas and Associates Law Offices (www.
gancaycolaw.ph). He is currently the President for the Intellectual Property Association
of the Philippines (IPAP), a Council Member for the ASEAN Intellectual Property
Association, the Councilor and Philippine Group Head for the Asian Patent Attorneys
Associations (APAA), the National Group President for the Association Internationale
pour la Protection de la Propriete Industrielle. He is an appointed Board Member in the
Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).He is a past District Governor of Rotary District 3780
(Quezon City) and the immediate past Chairman for the Philippine College of Rotary
Governors. He now enters into the corporate world as a Prime Investor, Executive
Vice-President and Vice Chairman of the Board.

Christopher L. Gonzales
Director for Sales and Sales Operations

Cris is a graduate of Business Management from the University of the East and has
earned his diploma in Distributor Management from the Ateneo Graduate School. Cris
spent most of his career in sales and was able to climb up the corporate ladder to become
the National Sales Manager for BP Philippines (Castrol) and was a major part of Castrol
Products successful penetration all through-out the last decade in the local market. He then
transferred to become the General Manager for Chevrolet Baliuag and GT Oil achieving
great success at a start-up level. Cris now takes on new challenges as a top executive for
Pertua bound to achieve greater heights in his career like never before.

Bernadette S. Matias
Chief Operating Officer

Berna is a Communications Major graduate from the Assumption College in Makati. She
then went to work as an Accounts Manager for Globe Telecom and GlaxoSmithKline
Philippines respectively before getting invited by her father, Engr. Simon, to join the family
business in 2007 to be its Chief Operating Officer. From the time she entered, JS Minerals
and Synthetic Oil Inc. (Pertuas previous corporation name) clientele base doubled every
year through her efforts in solidifying supply chain management and improving the overall
customer service.Now with more experience, Berna continues to provide par excellent work
in leading the charge for Pertua Marketing Corporation to become a more efficient company.

Gianpaolo Emilio B. Gancayco

General Manager and Treasurer

Gianpaolo is a graduate BS Communications Technology Management with a minor in

Entrepreneurship from the Ateneo de Manila University. Even during his college days, he
has been actively helping in the family business interests. Upon graduation, he was able to
put up his very own IT-related business. He was an essential part of the marketing teams
of both JobsDB Philippines and the DPC-Yellow Pages and was at the same time, the
business manager for his familys real estate brokerage, Amberlink Property Solutions Inc.
specializing in selling high value commercial properties towards key investors. He now leads
the development and implementation of new Marketing and Organizational strategies for
Pertua Marketing Corporation moving forward as its General Manager alongside pursuing
his Masters Degree in Business Administration in the University of the Philippines.

OIL DRAIN TEST

PERTUAs main claim is that application of such in an engine nullifies metal to metal friction. Nullified friction results into
revitalized engine parts thus improving engine efficiency. A more efficient engine produces fuel savings, better emissions,
increased power, reduced engine wear and an extended oil life (together with its antioxidant properties). To prove that
nullified friction is indeed, miraculously done by PERTUA, the company has conducted several tests together with private
companies and individuals where they ran vehicles without oil.
Step Procedures Taken:
Step 1 Engine Preparation The oil and oil filter were changed.
Step 2 Pertua Application One can of Pertua oil and metal treatment is poured to the Lubrication Port.
Step 3 Metal Surface Treatment The vehicle is driven for a period of time 15 min to 1 hr just so the treatment
coats the metal.
Step 4 Oil Drain The oil is completely drained from the engine causing the RED ALARM pressure gauge
to light.
Step 5 Run without Oil Engine Test The vehicles are driven up to such distance enough to convince the
testers that Engines do not bog down even without oil because of Pertuas metal friction nullification
effect.
Significance of the oil drain test:
Such testing proves that Pertuas technology protect your engine in the worst types of situations such as expiring oil and oil
leaks because of its anti-friction feature.
