OnenoteisthattheexperienceofdarknightisnotChristianalone.Numerousaccountsare
writteninTaoism,Buddhism,andmorerecentlyinKrishnamurtisteaching.Eachhasitsownunique
peculiarsthatwillnotbeelaboratedhere.Regardlesswhatreligion,ornonreligiononeis,Ithinkthis
poemhasspiritualimportance.Andcertainly,itsartisticmasteryisundeniable.

SinceIdonotknowSpanish,mytranslationisbasedonseveralEnglishversions,most
importantlytheonefromLoreenaMcKennittsincemytranslationcanalsobeusedaslyrictohersong.

especiallythe7thwhereLoreenaMcKennittstranslationdivergessharplywiththetranslationsincluded
inthebookDarkNightoftheSoulthatIhereonreferasoriginals.Inthelyric,shewrote:

wouldbemerelyartisticexpression.ThesecondinterpretationwouldbeclosertoLMsversion.InLMs
