subject to all traffic rules stated in Malaysian Road Transportation Act 1987.
Malaysian who have attained the age of 16 can obtain a B2 (motorcycle) or 17 for D (car)
license. Those wanting to get an E license (lorry) must be 21 years or above. Those who want to get
the three classes of license must follow the procedures laid down by JPJ. Once enrolled in driving
school, the first step is to attend the Education Course Driving for 5 hours, after which students
must take and pass the computerized law and attending courses, namely Pre-L for 3 hours of theory

receive the L license provisional driving license.
L license will entitle the student to learn the practical driving. For L bike, students can drive
on the road alone. L car, students need to learn to drive from instructors with teaching certificates.
Driving training is usually about 4 to 5 classes or 8 to 10 hours. For motorcycles, the students will
learn to make the round of eight, bridge, barrier cones, emergency brake and roads. All is done in a
circuit provided by the Institute of motorcycle driving. For a car license, students will be taught up
the hill, side parking, 3 corners and roads. All that will be taught in the circuit except the road to be
taught in a real road.
After students finish learning to drive and was ready to undergo a practical test by the JPJ,
the student must take a pre-qualification test. This test was conducted by the institute of certified
testers to test drive the extent of students' driving. If passed, students can reserve the date for
practical testing of vehicle. There are two parts of the practical test of JPJ circuits and road tests.
Students must pass both parts to get the P license driving license. Driving license will be used by

the driver who has passed for 2 years. After that, the license will be upgraded into a full driving
license. This means that the vehicle need not affix stickers P.
By following all the procedures required to obtain a driving license, each driver will
hopefully be very careful driver and comply with traffic rules and legal requirements. Each driver
should be aware of the importance of having a license and consequences ahead if they do not have
