What were/are the effects of their decisions and actions?

President Noy Noy Aquino- His decisions and actions are inappropriate. He is not
governing the country with his own intelligence hence he is asking from others
opinion. Despite these actions, he is still the President of our country. He made good
things to our country especially other people who are needy but it is not enough so
he didnt succeed with this. The effect of his actions is that Filipinos are now
questioning the way he govern our country.
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo- Her actions proved to us that she is a good president
because she is also a mother, she take good care of our country as much as she can
but then again we witnessed and we were blind by her actions that we havent felt that
she is getting our money away.
Ferdinand Marcos- Way back then he proposed the martial law and
Filipinos that time were disciplined. They follow rules and regulations and if they
are not going to follow it they will receive a punishment.

How do you interpret the saying, absolute power corrupts absolutely?

If you have power, if you are on top you have a way to get all what you want. You
have your connections and you can do all the things smoothly but sometimes
imperfectly.

Why do you think some leaders want to stay in power?

Some leaders want to stay in power to prove to everyone that they are on top.
That no one can fight them. No one will be against them. That they can get all
they want. Some leaders want to be popular. They have their money and they
need also the power to be known by others.

How can a leader who thinks of himself as indispensible affect a team; an

organization or an institution?

If a leader is indispensable it can really affect the team because no one can harm them
because they think that s/he is important to the team that they cannot leave their
position. It can also affect the decisions of the team.

Are you in favor of anti-dynasty on our politicians? WHY?

Yes I am agree because one is enough and twice is too much. If all the family are in
politics there will be no other people who will govern us. It will also be the same and that
dynasty will have a power over us because they are dynasty and they will think that they
are powerful.

4. Who is Maria Clara in the personal life of Jose Rizal? What is the significance
of Maria Clara in Rizals personal life particularly during his stay in Europe?
Jose Rizal fell in love for the first time with his childhood sweetheart Leonor
Rivera, who later became the inspiration for the iconic character Maria Clara in
his novel.
5. Is the Catholic Church of today similar to Rizals? Why did Jose Rizal use the
Spanish Friars as part of the major characters in Noli Me Tangere?
No. Our Catholic Church is different from the past. Rizal used the Spanish friars to
emphasize their doings and the kind of Friars we had before. In addition to that, There
will be no friars who will do that to us because friars came from God. That they should
help us not by keeping us suffer.
6. And what reasons did Ibarra give for leaving the Philippines? Are they the
same reasons why Jose Rizal left the Philippines for Europe? Justify your
answers.
Ibarra left the country to study in because his father think that he can learn more in
other country than here in the Philippines while on the other hand Rizal left the
Philippines to study and finally realize to write a novel. He is doing this for our country to
prove that we can do so much better and that we can showcase our talents by not just
following the Spaniards. We can fight them better if we have the full knowledge to
confront them.
