DAILY NUGGETS FOR JOYFUL LIVING

Friday, March 6, 2015
Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid,
after he knew that he (i.e. Paul) was a Roman, and because he had bound him. Acts 22:23-29 KJV
RECOGNITION ENTHRONES - # One
Kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition of this is the beginning of wisdom. Theodore I. Rubin
We were at a convention in Nigeria, and it was launch time. The stewards started their routine servings.
Everything was very monotonous as every mans portion was a plate of rice, a plate of soup, and a very small piece of
meat (beef.) An amazing thing happened. When the steward looked up and recognized the President of the Ministry
standing on the line to be served, her countenance changed. She stopped serving and ordered the younger ladies to
lead the President to a well deserved room where he would be served with respect and the dignity deserving his
position. His service was a complete difference from the service that every other person received. There was a
different plate for rice, for soup, and for meat, and the quantity was without rations. What changed the dynamics
of the stewards art of service when the President came to the scene was RECOGNITION. Recognition changes the
dynamics of events. Until there is recognition, no change will be effected to situations, issues, relationships, or
people. Recognition will streamline your thinking. It will smooth out the rough surfaces as you come in contact with,
and will brighten your hope for a better tomorrow. It was the recognition of the President by the chief steward
that made her treat him with every dignity attached to his office. Recognition has a way of promoting an individual
whenever it is in manifestation. Recognition is a challenge to excellence. Beloved, Recognition is it that Enthrones!!!
In an ideal situation and environment, whenever a level of excellence is reached, recognition will take over
immediately. Recognition means coming to understand something clearly and distinctly. Recognition is the explicit
and formal acknowledgement of someone or something as against what was known before. Recognition often causes
a paradigm shift. The difference in treatment is not because your circumstances have changed, but because
recognition has come into play. The Presidents position and inclination to life was still the same when he received a
better treatment from the chief stewards. Everything changed because there was RECOGNITION. Without
recognition, respect is farfetched. Without recognition, submission is an erroneous mental representation. The
reality of your life is experienced with recognition. Recognition is never revealed in isolation; it is always linked to
someone or something. And until you are recognized, your status quo may not change. In Acts 22, Paul spoke on the
hope of the resurrection. Uproar ensued. The people were insinuated demanding that Paul should be killed. When
the Chief Captain heard about it, he commanded Paul to be scourged so as to appease the people and avert any
impending riot. There was nothing that could stop him from mercilessly beating Paul to the delight of the revolting
crowd. Paul knew his rights as a Roman Citizen and equally pushed the same idea to the attention of the centurion
that stood by. And the centurion warned the Chief Captain, Take heed what thou doest: for this man is a Roman.
On knowing that Paul was a Roman, the chief captain was afraid and set him free. Self-recognition will instill fear in
your enemies. When you are self-recognized as a child of God, who or what troubles you will vanish. You will be
free. Joyful Living experience results from self-recognition of belonging to God. Yes, recognition enthrones. Amen?
