COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course describes training as a development intervention
geared
towards
human
empowerment
and
organizational
effectiveness. It presents a practical guide on how to develop training
programs which will be responsive to the needs of any organization.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the semester, the students are expected to:
1) Fully comprehend the relevance of training as a development
intervention and as the teaching arm of human resources
development;
2) Illustrate the importance of Training and Development as it
helps in the transformation of both the organization and
individual person; and
3) Apply the principles of Training and Development in the
empowerment process.
