Models for contributions

PAPERS: 45 minutes, 14/18 pp. (pictures or maps included).
Presentations in charge of outstanding discipline
representatives. Power point and .pdf documents.
COMMUNICATIONS: Short papers 6/10 pp.; 15 minutes.
General deliveries on the symposiums topics. These may be
unpublished writings, or in progress research or results of
workshops.
POSTER SESSIONS: 30 minutes. Indoors presentations.
Original materials on the Symposiums topics. In author
absentia, posters may be presented through a Delegate;
written authorization must be presented before the lecture
presentation.
POSTER EXHIBITS: Ex-Auditorium displays on matters
related with disciplines, open to participants and visitors.
Delegates may present contributions, under written authors
authorizations. Support will be provided by the local
organizing committee.

Location
The congress will take place in Napoli, the joyful Capital City
of Italian Music, Opera and Ballet.. Fieldtrips will complete
the Journey of Symposio in the unique surroundings of
Napoli: Pompei, Reggia di Caserta, Campi Flegrei, Bay of
Naples, Teatro dell 'Opera di San Carlo.

The University for Peace was founded in Costa Rica in 1998,

under the auspices of Dr. Rodrigo Carazo Odio (Rector
Emeritus, the University for Peace).
Since then, the University for Peace has organized 11
international conferences focused on Ethnobotany (Costa
Rica-1999, Guatemala-2001, Bolivia-2003, Brazil-2004,
Mexico-2005, Peru-2007, Mexico-2009, Portugal-2010,
Turkey -2013, Cusco, Peru, 2014
This Symposium aims at the scientific exchange across
borders and lectures delivered by invited distinguished
scientists, short oral communications and posters in
Ethnobotany and allied sciences.
Therefore, it is a great pleasure to announce the XIII
International Ethnobotany Symposium to be held in Napoli,
Italy, (October 12th -16th, 2015).

Abstract submission
Short lectures and posters (indoors and ex-Auditorium)
related to the above mentioned topics are welcome.
All participants should submit a condensed version of their
contribution, not larger than a page 8.5 x 11 inches,
formatted in Arial font (size 11, 1.5 spacing). Margins should
not exceed 2.5 cm in all directions. Everyone interested in
contributing with an abstract is kindly requested to proceed
to submission by email to simposio@ice.co.cr, or to:
edoardo.pinto@alice.it
before March 30th , 2015.
All abstracts will be peer reviewed by the scientific
Committee and relevant notifications about acceptance or
rejection will be sent out to the presenting author until May
10th ,2015
Official language: English
Lectures and presentations can be delivered in the native
language of author (s), but English Papers must be
submitted to the Organizing Committee for publication in
the Proceedings of Conference.
