Distribution / Manufacturing Manager Nov. 2005 – Present


Brady Corporation (Seton Canada), Markham
Earned fast track promotions based on producing superior results. Managed the Distribution, Logistics,
Manufacturing, Safety and Quality department activities of producing high-quality identification and
safety products with $50M annual sale. Developed and instituted best practices in all areas, ensuring that
all staff share a customer-oriented vision of their roles.

• Developed multi-year Supply Chain strategies including developing and implementing new
distribution processes and systems applications. Managed 3 direct report supervisors and 35
personnel, and shipped over 300k products every year across 3 business units.
• Direct all aspect of operations including labor scheduling, space utilization, inventory and equipment
management of a 60,000 sq feet DC. Manage over 12k skus of $2.5M inventory with the annual
operating budget of $2M of the Distribution and Manufacturing departments.
• Successfully completed several 3PL warehouse consolidation projects and achieved cost savings.
Implemented Lean applications within Supply Chain and developed shipping processes to support
cross dock and flow through channels while improving the efficiency of the existing storage channel.

improved the storage density by 25%, and the annual inventory turns from 5 to 9.

functional teams of purchasing, production, planning, warehouse and finance departments to ensure
adequate inventory levels of high selling products are maintained to meet the timely market demand.

• Applied various concurrent engineering techniques in managing multiple projects to reduce the
operating cost and cycle time of the operation. Reduced the product delivery lead times by switching
from weekly to daily projections for transportation and production runs.
• Used SAP ERP inventory management system to manage the daily operation. Analyzed data on
production efficiencies, receiving, stock put away, pick and pack, shipping and transportation of the
goods. Provide ongoing support and development for new or enhanced operational capabilities, such
as measurement and reporting tools.

shop daily activities in 4 production departments in order to meet customer and budget standards.

alternative materials and scrap reduction in order to reduce the total production cost.

Alcoa Rexdale Packaging (Reynolds foil wrap), Etobicoke
Managed the operation activities of manufacturing and distribution of Aluminum foil used in Consumer
and Food Packaging Industry. Solid understanding of Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, and AIB
system.
Managed 4 direct report supervisors and 50 unionized production staff on 3 shifts. Managed daily
production of semi-automatic assembly line systems and machine maintenance activities.
• Led cross-functional teams consisting of quality assurance, maintenance, product engineering, and
shipping, to develop best practices for new product introductions into manufacturing.
• Managed all aspects of staff supervision, from interviewing and training, evaluating and promoting,
to corrective actions and dismissal of a unionized plant. Performed labor negotiations during
grievance trails. Established management-union teams and introduced pay-for-performance program
that led to increased productivity and employee moral.
• Proactively participated in Health & Safety initiatives including hazard identification, assessment
and corrective actions to ensure legislative compliance. Conducted safety training and accident
prevention classes. Written and implemented over 150 safety procedures, including the emergency
services protocol and the disaster recovery plan.
