Chapter 1. Overview
1.1 Overview
Welcome to use Mini USB Interface GPS Module Demo Board no Bluetooth by Sure
Electronics. Applying highly sensitive MG1613S module, provided by MStar Technology,
as a receiver and supporting NMEA 0183 V 3.01 protocol, this product can finish precise
location. It also provides several data outputs and three ports like USB interface, RS232
interface, and Bluetooth interface (selectable) to meet the customers different needs.

2.2 Quick Start
Install the corresponding Virtual COM Port Device Drivers to the OS and connect the
antenna to the GPS Demo Board antenna connector

Connect your PC to GPS Demo Board USB Mini-B interface with a USB connecting line.
Find the new serial number on your computer, for example: COM9.
Configure relative settings of graphic GPS testing software MStar MiniCDU.

Hardware Detail

Relevant information like the current latitude and time (Greenwich Time), of the place
where you stay, can be seen through the graphic GPS testing software MStar MiniCDU.

Following driver software and other software can be downloaded in our company
download center:
1. Virtual COM Port Device Drivers
2. MStar MiniCDU to test GPS module
3. Software to modify baud rate
The above application can run smoothly in Window XP SP2 and we dont provide
technical support for the application.

Important note: we assume no liability for any problem caused by using MStar
MiniCDU to download FW.
