Classroom Management
Teacher's action which leads to the creation of a learning
environment where positive interpersonal interaction is
promoted and effective learning is facilitated (Hue Ming.T
& Li Wai.S, 2008).
The teacher's ability to cooperatively manage time, space
resources, student roles, student behavior to provide a
climate that encourages learning (Alberto & Troutman,
1986).

"Classroom management is about creating the right

conditions for effective learning - whichever method you
use, whatever your classroom is like and whoever your
students are Tom Scrivener

Which roles does a teacher

use?

lesson in detail before teaching it.

information about the language or about an
activity.

running smoothly and sets up rules and
routines.

exaggerate
your gestures a little.

Analizing intra-group
relationships
A SOCIOGRAM is a map representing
students preferences for each other as
play partners or work partners. It is
created by asking every member of a class
to write down the name of one classmate
in response to a question such as:
Whom do you most prefer to have lunch
time with?
Whom do you most prefer to work with
on a class assignment?

SOCIOGRAM

MOTIVATION
INTRINSIC MOTIVATION:
refers to behavior that is driven by internal rewards.
The motivation to engage in a behavior arises from within the
individual because it is intrinsically rewarding.
THIS CONTRAST WITH
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION:
which involves engaging in a behavior in order
to earn external rewards or avoid punishments.

What factors affect motivation?

What must a teacher do when his/her students are not selfmotivated?
