Technology and Equipment

This patented equipment has been converting
agricultural waste streams in South America and
Africa into value added products (activated
carbon) and energy for the last 15 years.
The equipment now has been converted to
produce biochar and heat energy in a continuous
feed system utilizing the following waste streams:
wood chips, coconut shell, grass pellets, palm oil
kernels, peach pits, macadamia shell and wood
pallets.

The Hybrid 250

The equipment can be built for site specific

application as on Rainbow's End Butterfly Farm
where wood chips are used to produce heat
energy for the greenhouses and biochar as a
potting medium for the nursery.
The Hybrid 250 unit at Rainbow's End Farm
supplies 250,000 BTU/hr of heat energy, utilizing
1200 lbs of wood chips, producing 250 lbs of
biochar in a 24 hour cycle.
These units can be sized according to need, for
homestead, nursery, sawmill or other commercial
applications and are stationary or portable.

The Hybrid 500

A BIO-ENERGY CONVERTER with the

flexibility to be site specific to fit your actual
application.
Converts biomass, (wood chips, coconut
shells, peach pits), into a value-added product,
biochar.
Supplies heat to your home, farm, or
greenhouse with the ability to produce 500,000
BTU/hr of heat energy.
Continuous feed system.
