I IMMENSELY enjoyed my nth
trip to Dubai. It was made even
more fun by girl bonding with
Maui Taylor and Rachel Lobangco, who had shows in Dubai,
Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah.
We went on a road trip across
the Emirates. With us were my
fave Michael Jackson impersonator, Jericho Valencia (who was
a special guest in their shows),
Rachels teenage daughter Leona
and our gracious hosts Jonathan
Gulmatico, Catherine Realizan
and Kaye Egea. Since our
kababayan OFWs are all over
the United Arab Emirates, its always a welcome treat for them
to watch shows of Pinoy artists.
It serves as their antidote to
homesickness. Mau and Rach
wowed the crowd. The two hot
mamas gamely cavorted with the
guys in the audience. Even after
all these years in the biz, the
ladies have not lost their appeal.
Jerichos MJ dance moves
were well-applauded, too. Foreigners enjoyed the show and
even had pictures taken with the
performers.
I was also pleasantly surprised to discover a restaurant
named Dollywood in City Tower
Hotel in Fujairah.
Till my next Dubai high!

Whats the toughest and best

The toughest part is being

DAVAO del Norte officials expect about 20,000 visitors to
flock to the province when it
hosts the Palarong Pambansa on
May 3 to 9.
Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario said
the provincial government is
pulling all stops to prepare the
playing venues and billeting
quarters for the athletes from
the countrys 17 regions and
has put up strict security measures to make its Palaro hosting
a success.
But more than that, Del
Rosario said they are bracing
for a tourism boom during the
games, which usually attracts
about 10,000 student athletes
and their coaches.
We will promote out tourist
attractions so they can learn more

about our province, he said.

Del Rosario said that Davao
del Norte boasts of world-class
beaches located in the Island
Garden City of Samal, the banana plantations and mariculture park in Panabo City, the
natural caves and waterfalls in
San Isidro, New Corella and Kapalong, the ecological park in
Sto. Tomas, organic rice farms
of B.E. Dujali, the historic Ising
Monument in Carmen, Madgao

Fortune have decided to stop Pacquiaos uphill Griffith Park morning jogs, replacing these with runs
and exercises at University of California track oval.
Pacquiao tried the 400-meter
oval last Monday (Tuesday in
Manila) and found the conditions to his liking. He doesnt
