WIRELESS TOUCH SCREEN KEYPAD


INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
TheWirelessTouchScreenKeypad(2GIGTS1E)isawallmounted,
fullcolor,touchscreeninterfacethatprovidesmanyofthesameeasy
tousekeypadfunctionsavailableonthecontrolpanel.Itisdesigned
forindooruseonlyandgivesuserstheabilitytocontrollights,
thermostats,anddoorlocks,aswellastoviewthestatusofevery
sensorzone.
Whenthe900MHzTransceiverModule(2GIGXCVR2345)isinstalled
inthecontrolpanel,thesystemcanbeprogrammedtocommunicate
withuptofour(4)WirelessTouchScreenKeypads.
NOTE: WirelessTouchScreenKeypadsmarkedwithserial

numbersgreaterthan1405XXXXXXXXXXXXalsoincludea
barrelconnectorpoweroption(2GIGAC2PLUGor2GIGAC3
INTPLG)thatmakesiteasytoconnectpowertothekeypad.
Thesekeypadsalsoincludeabuiltin,90degree,four(4)pin
headerforusewiththeFirmwareUpdateCable(2GIGPCBL2).
IMPORTANT: ThiskeypaddoesnotsupportUL985installations.

Minimum Requirements
Forsuccessfulcommunications,thesystemmustmeetthese
minimumrequirements:
A900MHzTransceiverModule(2GIGXCVR2345)mustbe
installedinthecontrolpanel.
TheGo!ControlPanelmustberunningVersion1.10orhigher.
TheTS1EkeypadmustberunningVersion1.10.SeeVerifying
theFirmwareVersiononBothDevicesonpage4.

Installing the Keypad


Ideally,thekeypadshouldbemountedtoawallatabouteyelevel.In
addition:
ThelocationmusthaveACpoweravailableandnearby.
Avoidlocationswithstuds,electricalwires,and/orpipes.

Determining the Wire Gauge and Maximum

thevoltageoutputofthecontrolpanelspowerterminals.The
terminalsarelocatedonthebackofthecontrolpanel.
TIP: ToavoidthereportinganddisplayofnuisanceACPower

Lossmessages,themeasuredvoltagemustnotfallbelow14
VoltsDC.
Usethetablebelowasaguideforselectingthegaugeforthepower
wires.Toensureproperoperation,donotexceedthefollowing
maximumlengthforthewiregaugeinstalled:

Holdthebackcoveratthedesiredlocationonthewall.Thenuse
penciltomarkthelocationofthepowerwire(seeAbelow)and
screwholes(seeBbelow).

buildingcodes.Tosatisfytheserequirements,itis
recommendedthatthewiringfromtheACPowerAdapter
outputberatedCL2,CL2X,CL2R,orPLTC.Wheninstalling
wiringinaplenumspace(e.g.,apathwayusedtofacilitateair
circulationforheatingandairconditioningsystems)thewire
mustbeplenumrated(CL2P).

Connecting the Power Wires to the Keypad


NOTE: Ifyouwillbeconnectingpowertothekeypadusingthe

barrelconnectorpoweroption,youwillnotneedtocomplete
thestepsbelow.SimplyconnecttheACPowerSupplytothe
keypadandpoweroutlet.ThencontinuewithProgramming

Programming the Keypad to the Control Panel

Toprogramthekeypadintothecontrolpanel:

Restoring the Keypads Factory Settings


Torestorethekeypadsfactorysettingstouseitwithadifferent
controlpanel:
1 PowerOFFandthenpowerONthekeypad.
2 PressandholddownboththeEmergency
andHome
buttonsforapproximately20seconds.
3 Whenbothbuttonsilluminate,thekeypadsfactorysettingshave
beenrestored.Thescreenwilldisplaythefollowingmessage:
ThisDeviceisNotPairedwithaControlPanel.

Verifying the Firmware Version on Both Devices


Inordertocommunicateproperly,thekeypadandthecontrolpanel
mustberunningthesamefirmwareversion.
NOTE: Ifthekeypadhasnotyetbeenpairedtothecontrolpanel,

thefirmwareversionnumberdisplaysonthekeypadsmain
screen.
Tocheckthefirmwareversiononthekeypadandcontrolpanel(after
theyhavebeenpaired):
1 PresstheHome button.
2 AttheHomescreen,tapSecurity.
3 TapMenu.
