Into the TRU are inserted also two Circuit Breakers, one on battery A and one on battery B. In case of S9TRU two 10A Circuit Breaker are used. For OPTINEX-TRU two 10A Circuit Breaker are used.

In general:

SAFETY RULES

Due to possible very high currents in case of short-circuit at the battery power
input, it is essential that the battery power distribution line shall be provided with a
short circuit back-up protection with adequate breaking capacity.
