The problem of censoring in the art

Have you thought how will be the world if you cannot read the books what you
like or cannot watch the movies you love or even cannot hear your favorite
music? If the man would live in a world like this the existence would be sad,
poor and would be lost the captivity to criticize the relationship between the
man and the world that he builds. Among the ways of censure the arguments
most used are to attack the artist because his personal life, the censoring
based on political interests and the censoring based on moral reasons, but in
the three cases can be seen that the censoring only serves to silence that inner
voice in the man that claims for be heard. For that reason the work of the artist
is essential for our culture and the most important thing in the art is the
freedom of speech and expression.
First of all, to try to reject a movie, a book or a song because the author has a
reprehensible behavior is a fallacy ad hominem. For example, in the case of the
musician Marilyn Manson it is perceptible that a lot of people have rejected his
music because he has a very controversial live and a disgusting appearance.
But truly, it is found in the lyrics of his songs a message that talk about the
importance of the freedom and never mind about the appearance like in the
song The beautiful people. In the other hand, in an interview in 2002 than
Marilyn Manson gave to Michael Moore to the documentary Bowling for
columbine he showed to be a very conscious person and said that all the
violence problems in the US are not music blame, it is a political and legal
question. So is not judge to reject the work of a person only because their
personal life.
Now it might be considered the problem of the censure that is in favor of
political interests. The definition of the censure implicates tow roles: the censor
and the censored, this necessary bring to give to the censor the faculty to
decide what and who is the good and what and who is the bad. This problem
has leaves a mark in the history, for example during the second war two the
Nazis tried to destroy all the Jewish artistic work because it does not
represented the ideals of beauty and purity that they had. Nowadays the
censure has affected art and the literature, for example in the movies world is
very common than film directors like Lars Von Trier could not exhibit his movies
in many countries. This problem is even more serious because attack directly
to the freethinking and this necessary brings to kill our culture development.
The other argument is the censoring based on moral reasons. The censoring of
many artistic productions because are against the moral values of the society
has been a factor that has affected all the ways of the arts. One of the famous
example is the work of the writher knows as the Marquis de Sade who writhed

erotic books in the seventeen century. But really it can be found that in his
books he showed a philosophy that was a reaction to the extreme rationalism
that tried to deny the instinctive side of the human been. So it is a good
example of the art like the only way to show that part of the human that is
reject because it is against of the occidental morals but it is an essential part of
the human constitution.
Finally, the man is who decides if want to live in a world totally plane in which
the artist is determined to do what is allowed for ones values or if prefers to
leave that the art shows the side of the controversial, serves like a critic of the
reality and takes the man to the place of the open conscience, in this way is
possible to acquire a wide vision of the reality and the problems that have
troubled the man mind during all his existence.
