ABSTRACT
An initial public offering is a companys first sale of stock to the public and also
referred to as going to public . It is a market where firms go to public for the first time
through initial public offering. It is also called as offer for sale by unlisted companies.
Here a project is executed on the performance of the recent IPOs in India as objective of
project.

India financial market is at emerging phase as we are seeing the large number of
companies is coming to equity market by an instrument called IPOs. The aims of
highlighting the factors that has impact on the performance of IPOs and the benefits to
both investor and companies. By doing the analysis of IPOs it will be an aid to investor
to identity the generic factors which determine the performance of securities and thus it
will aid them in the investment decision and from companies perspective they could pay
attention to these factors in order to make IPO more attractive.
