ST.

COLUMBA CATHOLIC CHURCH

April 5, 2015
Easter Sunday

SAN DIEGO

Four Signs of a
Dynamic Catholic
Today you received a gift from the parish, a book that
could change the way you live your FAITH. This book
was written by Matthew Kelley, a New York Times bestselling author, and it describes how only 7% of Catholics
(80 million in USA) are engaged Catholics.

Divine Mercy Sunday

The Sunday after Easter is universally observed throughout the Church as Divine Mercy Sunday. St. Pope John
Paul II established the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday
during the canonization of St. Faustina in the Jubilee
Year 2000. Our Lords great promise: The soul that will
go to Confession and then receive Holy Communion shall
obtain the complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.
We want to encourage everyone to take advantage of this
incredible promise on this Great Feast of Mercy.
Fr. Mel invites everyone in the parish to attend the Divine
Mercy Sunday Devotion with Exposition of the Blessed
Sacrament on Sunday, April 12th from 2:30 3:30 p.m.
in the Church. A cake reception will follow in the Hall.

Catholicism can be intimidating and trying to learn

about it can be overwhelming, unless you know where to
start and how to do it. This book provides a way to learn
about our Faith, by using a continuous improvement
concept, which includes PRAYER, STUDY, GENEROSITY and EVANGELIZATION.
We invite you to take this book home, start reading it
and make plans to attend one of the two discussion
groups, starting the week of April 13th. More information about the discussion groups will be provided in next
Sunday's bulletin. THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
