FRESHERS WEEK REFLECTION
ADVICE FROM ASC
1 CRY WOLF//NOVEMBER 2007
to the years second

Welcome edition of Crywolf.

This edition is yet
again packed with news of great events past,
present and future. News on the Students’
Union, helpful advice from the Advice and
Support Centre and a few bits ‘just for fun.’
Since freshers week I’ve been inundated with
e-mails asking how to get involved in the
exciting student voice movement, a better
response than anyone could have hoped for!
This could mean that by the time the next
edition comes around there could be a new
editor (that’s me gone), new writers,
photographers, designers, new everything!
Despite the tremendous progress we’re
making-there’s always room for more. If
you’ve missed the meeting in the Polybar on
the 24th October then send me an e-mail or
better still, come ask in the Students’ Union!

WEEK A time which some look forward to, some dread and
some don’t know what to expect. Whatever your take
on the first week back at University there was certainly
plenty to keep you busy both day and night. Our
freshers fair proved not only popular with students but
our guests, along with the Express and Star,
complimented us on such a successful event.
Combined with the popularity of Just Jack and
Wheatus on top of our regular nights made for a
fantastic weeks entertainment. Some would say the

We are currently looking for people to setup and run new societies here at Wolves Union. We need
committed, enthusiastic people, who have a few hours to spare to run groups which already have
considerable interest from students.

Are you interested in helping to run any of the following societies:-

CRY
WOLF?
RAG Society, Drama Society, Arts Society, Debating Society, Volunteers Society.

If you are interested get in touch with us at activities@wolvesunion.org and we can give you all the
support and information you will need to make a real difference to your Union.

Remember you can create a society for anything at all, so if you and a group of friends do an
activity regularly and would like to take advantage of the facilities the union offers to it’s societies
pop into the Activities Centre and see what we can do to help you.
