Q: What you did at CAPGEMINI?

I am a technocrat who believes in practical application of learning ,

so post-graduation, I worked for 1 yr in a reputed French It
company CAPGEMINI . I was the part of centre of excellence team . I
was fortunate enough to get trained there in technologies of great
market value worth mentioning GUIDEWIRE a insurance S/W . I

different offshore teams for process workflows for effective meeting

1) AT YAMAHA

I did my sip at INDIA YAMAHA MOTORS , NOIDA which is a world

renowed JAPANESE AUTOMOBILE company .
I consult Yamaha logistics department on 4 projects :
Resource optimization , Process Improvement , Procurement ,
Project Management
1) The objective of 1st project was to provide Man-Power
calculation framework of Yamaha logistics at upcoming Chennai
plant . This helped YAMAHA to take strategic business
decisions .
2) 2Nd project was to find Improvement in the existing logistics
process of YAMAHA . I could able to find a significant Kaizan
which increased HYDRAULIC LIFT efficiency by 25 % and
operator time utilization by 11%
3) 3rd Project was to Freight Automation database formation in
which I removed database redundancies and proposed huge
savings in new updated geographical entries .
4) 4th project`s objective was to prepare a cost analysis sheet
for the 2 damaged hydraulic lifts which finally saved 350,000
INR for YAMAHA and solved repair vs buy Dilemma .

CHALLENGES I faced there.

1) New Environment of manufacturing.
2) Everything need to be start by scratch.
3) Nothing was Prior-fixed.
Initial 15 days was very challenging for me . Japanese working
culture , short deadlines . I used to figure out the most
knowledgeable person of the working area and try to grasp the
knowledge . I used to discuss the problems with managers and

other colleagues with probable solutions . After few days I was

thorough with the Know-how of processes.

Learnings from SIP:

1)

1) how to apply management concepts in

practical scenarios.
2) You have to very precise in your deliverables
before presenting it to top management.
Results: Got a job-offer from Yamaha Motors
Why you want to leave your current job?

I really appreciate my previous company for initiating me into the

corporate culture. As my first company, I got a lot of space to
understand the workings of the corporate, I am learnt about the
product and how to bring the same to clients desk and how can you
make them happy with our quality service
Now i am willing to put all my effort that i gained till date so that
would be useful for me to lead your company to an higher level.
2) What do you look for yourself in the future?

Answer I have always believed in application of what I learn. That was

the reason I chose to work after my engineering and so will be the case
post management. After 5 years I want to be in the industry to
understand and to work as a business professional by my all enhanced
learning and skills . Right now ,I can say that I am garnering on the
current opportunity to shape my dreams better for tomorrow.

3) When was the last time you failed

We all have our share of struggles in life. And I am someone who learns
from my failures and remembers them as growing opportunities and not
as setbacks.

Why MBA ?

Ans: To gain holistic business knowledge I chose operations as

specialization and IT as minors.
In 4th year , I decided to pursue MBA at some point of time in
my career . But before doing that I wanted to have some
corporate exposure . During CAPGEMINI days , I realized I am
good at technical skills , but need some managerial skills .
After discussion with my project manager, my conviction in
MBA got stronger . That`s why I did MBA .

Q : Why Operations?
Ans: During employment days , My job was techno-procedural .
I found that errors are more due to operating procedures rather than
technicalities .In today`s world , companies are striving hard to
improve productivity , quality , cost optimization and efficient and
responsive supply chains . Service Delivery pipelines must be carefully
designed . Business processes should be aligned Customers` needs.
So considering all these aspects my conviction in importance of
operations got stronger . So I decided to pursue MBA in operations .

Q:

Tell Us About Guidewire ?

Guidewire is a software suite which offers comprehensive
insurance handling processes . It has 3 modules in it , namely
1) Policy centre (AUTOMATED RENEWABLE PROCESSES ,
workflow rules )
2) Billing Centre
3) Claim Centre

I worked in Policy Centre , I also got training in claim centre .

TELL US AN INCIDENT WHERE YOU HAD A PROBLEM

WITH YOUR TEAM-MATE. HOW DID YOU HANDLE IT?
Ans:

Once I had a problem with my team-mate in college who was

my partner in my project work. We had a disagreement on
how to present our project report.
I explained my point of view to her and asked her for her view
point. Ive found that when conflict occurs, its because of a
failure to see both sides of the situation. At that point we found
a win win situation could be reached by incorporating both our
ideas.

Ur weakness?
1) , I cannot deny my help if someone ask for , although
sometimes it goes against me as sometimes , some people
also use my help against me . But I live up to my ethics .
To counteract this weakness , I have started to enhance my
knowledge more and more to excel in my field .
Its like drawing another big line adjacent to a smaller one
rather than erasing it .

2)
I feel little uncomfortable working with negative personality, who
demotivates others. Now I am woking on this

3) I believe I lack public speaking skills for a big audience for eg : 100
odd people . I realized this one during MBA , To counteract I took dale
Carnegie workshop for improving public speaking skills.

3) Sometimes I Get Too Hung Up on the Details and Dont See the
Bigger Picture. Few days back , I was so focused on getting the

numbers perfect in one part of the project that you didnt pay
enough attention to the live presentation and lost the audiences
attention in the beginning since you werent organized.

Ur strength?
I am a person who loves to manage things and does everything with
proper planning and execution. Even during my employment days , I
used to plan my deliverables before going to office for everyday .
I believes in practical application of learning as I did after graduation ,
so it will be definitely after post-graduation .Besides that I am a team
player and quite adaptable to changing requirements .

Q: IF AFTER SOMETIME YOU START DISLIKING THE JOB,

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Well, if such situation then my first priority would be to look
within myself and try to find out any shortcomings or lack of skills
and techniques. If such things happen then I would try to improve and
rectify myself. Still if I dont get an answer then I will speak to my
seniors and colleagues to learn my mistakes so that I become more
user friendly to my organization.

Q: Tell me about a situation when your work was criticized.

I could say that having been in a team where constructive criticism is
the norm, I was fortunate that they were able to point out
improvements that I can still do and move past that concern by
putting it in an action list.

Q : Are u a team player or an individual player?

I would like to work in an environment where there is a blend of

both. Its great working in teams while sharing and learning ideas with
each other, but its also great to sit at my own desk and work hard
productively. Therefore I would like to work independently towards a
team goal.

Q: What kind of salary are you looking for?

I would like to be offered a reasonable CTC as per the norms for the
entry level executives.

I would expect to be paid competitively and commensurate with the

level of skill, experience and responsibility that this
particular job requires
When I left job I was about to get the salary hike . For next two year ,
If I include the year on year bonus , along with inflation then it comes
to somewhere around to

Q: Why should we hire you?

Ans : I have always believed in application of what I learn. Im excited
and passionate about this industry and the position and will always
give my 100%. I have 1 year of experience in this technology On
top of that Im a great team player ,quite adaptable to changing
requirements , and I have desire to provide growth to your
